Since its inception in 2019, the “One Hand Can Heal Another” project by  Rotaract Club of SLIIT has been an unwavering source of support for the cancer community. This ongoing initiative aims to alleviate food insecurity among individuals facing cancer, particularly in underdeveloped countries. Led by the chairperson, Rtr. Pasindu Serasinghe, the project has provided thousands of warm meals to those in need, ensuring that no one fighting cancer has to face hunger alone.

Phase 01: Malabe – April 25th

The “One Hand Can Heal Another” project commenced its impactful journey in Malabe on April 25th. Recognizing individuals’ unique challenges,  Rotaract Club of SLIIT distributed lunch packets to individuals who were in need of it. This phase provided immediate relief from hunger and instilled hope in the hearts of those bravely fighting individuals to survive in these challenging times. 

Phase 02: CCC House, Maharagama – May 10th

Expanding their efforts to directly benefit the cancer community, the project reached the CCC House in Maharagama on May 10th. This safe haven offers solace to cancer patients from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, who often lack adequate accommodations near Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama.  Rotaract Club of SLIIT prepared comprehensive meals consisting of Rice, String hoppers, Fish, Dhal curry, Eggs, and Pol sambol, ensuring that the nutritional needs of these courageous individuals were met. Through this phase, the project provided not just sustenance but also a sense of comfort and support.

Phase 03: CCC House, Maharagama – May 24th

Continuing their dedication to nourishing the cancer community, the project’s third phase was once again held at the CCC House in Maharagama on May 24th. This time, a diverse range of nutritious items, including Kadala, Kawpi, Rice, Pol sambol, Dhal curry, Egg curry, and Seeni sambol, was offered to the beneficiaries. By tailoring the meals to their specific dietary requirements, Rotaract Club of SLIIT demonstrated a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by cancer patients, striving to improve their overall well-being.

A Lasting Impact on the Cancer Community:

The “One Hand Can Heal Another” project is a testament to  Rotaract Club of SLIIT’s enduring commitment to the cancer community. By dedicating their efforts to nourishing and supporting individuals battling cancer, the club aims to alleviate not only the physical hunger but also the emotional burdens faced by these warriors.

2019 වසරේ සිට SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය විසින් ආරම්භ කරන ලද “One Hand Can Heal Another” ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිළිකා ප්‍රජාව සඳහා නිරන්තර ආධාරක මූලාශ්‍රයක් විය. පිළිකා රෝගීන් අතර, විශේෂයෙන්ම ඌන සංවර්ධිත රටවල ආහාර අනාරක්ෂිතභාවය ආමන්ත්‍රණය කිරීම කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරමින්, මෙම අඛණ්ඩ මුලපිරීම සැලකිය යුතු බලපෑමක් ඇති කර ඇත. Rtr පසිඳු සේරසිංහ විසින් මෙහෙයවනු ලැබේ.  පිළිකාවට එරෙහිව සටන් කරන කිසිවකුට කුසගින්න තනිවම විඳදරාගැනීමට සිදු නොවන බව සහතික කිරීම මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතියේ අරමුණයි.

මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය අප්‍රේල් 25 වැනිදා මාලඹේ දී සිය ගමන ආරම්භ කළ අතර එහිදී SLIIT හි රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය අවශ්‍යතා ඇති පුද්ගලයින් සඳහා දිවා ආහාර පැකට් බෙදා දුන්නේය. කුසගින්නෙන් කඩිනම් සහනයක් ලබා දීමෙන්, මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිළිකාවට එරෙහිව සටන් වදින නිර්භීත හදවත් තුළ බලාපොරොත්තුව සහ සැනසීම ඇති කළේය. මෙම පුද්ගලයින් මුහුණ දෙන අද්විතීය අභියෝග හඳුනා ගනිමින්, මෙම අදියර අභියෝගාත්මක කාලවලදී අත්‍යවශ්‍ය ආධාරක මූලාශ්‍රයක් ලෙස ක්‍රියා කළේය.

ඔවුන්ගේ උත්සාහය පුළුල් කරමින් ව්‍යාපෘතිය මැයි 10 වන දින මහරගම CCC නිවස වෙත ළඟා විය. මෙම පහසුකම අපේක්ෂා රෝහල අසල නිසි නවාතැන් පහසුකම් නොමැති අවාසි සහගත පසුබිමක පිළිකා රෝගීන්ට රැකවරණය සපයයි. SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය පෝෂණයෙන් ඔබ්බට ගොස් බත්, ඉඳිආප්ප, මාළු, පරිප්පු ව්‍යංජන, බිත්තර සහ පොල් සම්බෝල වැනි පෝෂ්‍යදායී ආහාර ද්‍රව්‍යවලින් සමන්විත පරිපූර්ණ ආහාර වේලක් පිළියෙළ කළේය. මෙම අදියර හරහා, ව්‍යාපෘතිය ඔවුන්ගේ පෝෂණ අවශ්‍යතා සපුරාලීම පමණක් නොව, සැනසිල්ල සහ සහයෝගය පිළිබඳ හැඟීමක් ද ලබා දුන්නේය.

මැයි 24 වැනි දින මහරගම CCC මන්දිරයේදී තවත් අදියරක් සමඟින් පිළිකා ප්‍රජාව පෝෂණය කිරීම සඳහා ව්‍යාපෘතියේ කැපවීම අඛණ්ඩව සිදු කරන ලදී. මෙවර කඩල, කව්පි, බත්, පොල් සම්බෝල, පරිප්පු වෑංජනය, බිත්තර කරිය, සීනි සම්බෝලය ඇතුළු රෝගීන්ගේ ආහාර අවශ්‍යතාවලට සරිලන පෝෂ්‍යදායි ද්‍රව්‍ය රැසක් පිරිනැමිණි. පිළිකා රෝගීන් මුහුණ දෙන සුවිශේෂී අභියෝග අවබෝධ කර ගනිමින් සහ ඔවුන්ගේ විශේෂිත අවශ්‍යතා සපුරාලීමෙන්, SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය ප්‍රතිලාභීන්ගේ සමස්ත යහපැවැත්ම වැඩිදියුණු කිරීමට ඔවුන්ගේ කැපවීම පෙන්නුම් කළේය.

SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ “One Hand Can Heal Another” ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිළිකා ප්‍රජාවට සදාකාලික බලපෑමක් ඇති කළේය. පිළිකා රෝගීන් පෝෂණය කිරීම සහ උපකාර කිරීම සඳහා ඔවුන්ගේ කැපවීම තුළින් සමාජ ශාලාවේ අරමුණ වන්නේ ශාරීරික කුසගින්න පමණක් නොව මොවුන් මුහුණ දෙන චිත්තවේගීය බර ද සමනය කිරීමයි. ඔවුන්ගේ නොසැලෙන කැපවීමත් සමඟ SLIITරොටරැක්ට් සමාජය බලාපොරොත්තුවේ පහනක් බවට පත් වී, දයාව පතුරවමින් අර්ථවත් වෙනසක් ඇති කිරීමට සාමූහික ක්‍රියාකාරීත්වයේ බලය අපට මතක් කර දෙයි.

ව්‍යාපෘතිය දිගටම කරගෙන යන විට, පිළිකා ප්‍රජාවට එහි බලපෑම දිනෙන් දින ශක්තිමත් වේ. උණුසුම් ආහාර වේලක් සහ නොසැලෙන සහයෝගයක් ලබා දීමෙන්, “One Hand Can Heal Another” ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිළිකාවෙන් පෙළෙන අයට සහනය, ඔරොත්තු දීමේ හැකියාව සහ පෝෂණය ගෙන එයි. SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේහි කැපවීම ප්‍රබල මතක් කිරීමක් ලෙස ක්‍රියා කරන්නේ එක්ව, අපට සදාකාලික බලපෑමක් ඇති කළ හැකි අතර පිළිකාවට මුහුණ දෙන කිසිවකුට තනිවම කුසගින්නෙන් පෙළීමට සිදු නොවන බවට සහතික විය හැකි බවයි.

ஒருவரின் உதவிக்கரம் மற்றொருவரை குணப்படுத்தும்”: புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்தை சரி வர கையால்வதில் SLIIT Rotaract சங்கத்தின் அர்ப்பணிப்பு.

2019 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டதில் இருந்து, SLIIT இன் Rotaract Club இன் “ஒருவரின் உதவிக்கரம் மற்றொருவரை குணப்படுத்த உதவும்” திட்டம் புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்திற்கு ஒரு அசைக்க முடியாத ஆதரவாக இருந்து வருகிறது. இந்த தொடர் முயற்சியானது புற்றுநோயை எதிர்கொள்ளும் தனிநபர்களிடையே, குறிப்பாக வளர்ச்சியடையாத நாடுகளில் உணவுப் பாதுகாப்பின்மையை போக்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. தலைவர் Rtr.பசிந்து சேரசிங்க, தலைமையில்  புற்று நோயை எதிர்த்துப் போராடும் எவரும் தனியாக பசியை எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டியதில்லை என்பதை உறுதி செய்யும் வகையில், இந்தத் திட்டம் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான உணவு பற்றாக்குறையுள்ளவர்களுக்கு வழங்கியுள்ளது.

கட்டம் 01: மாலபே – ஏப்ரல் 25

“ஒருவரின் உதவிக்கரம் மற்றொருவரை குணப்படுத்த உதவும்” திட்டம் அதன் தாக்கமான பயணத்தை ஏப்ரல் 25 அன்று மாலபேயில் தொடங்கியது. தனிநபர்களின் தனித்துவமான சவால்களை உணர்ந்து, SLIIT இன் Rotaract Club மதிய உணவுப் பொதிகளை தேவைப்படும் நபர்களுக்கு விநியோகித்தது. இந்த கட்டம், பசியிலிருந்து உடனடி நிவாரணம் அளித்தது மற்றும் இந்த சவாலான காலங்களில் உயிர்வாழ தைரியமாக போராடும் நபர்களின் இதயங்களில் நம்பிக்கையை விதைத்தது.

கட்டம் 02: CCC ஹவுஸ், மஹரகம – மே 10

புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்திற்கு நேரடியாகப் பயனளிக்கும் அவர்களின் முயற்சிகளை விரிவுபடுத்தும் வகையில், இந்தத் திட்டம் மே 10 ஆம் தேதி மஹரகமவில் உள்ள CCC இல்லத்தை அடைந்தது. இந்த பாதுகாப்பான புகலிடமானது, மஹரகமவில் உள்ள அபேக்ஷா வைத்தியசாலைக்கு அருகாமையில் போதுமான இடவசதிகள் இல்லாத தாழ்ந்த சமூகப் பொருளாதாரப் பின்னணியைச் சேர்ந்த புற்றுநோயாளிகளுக்கு ஆறுதல் அளித்தது. SLIIT இன் ரோட்டாராக்ட் கிளப், அரிசி, கயிறு, மீன், பருப்பு கறி, முட்டை மற்றும் பால் சம்போல் ஆகியவற்றை உள்ளடக்கிய விரிவான உணவை தயாரித்தது, இந்த தைரியமான நபர்களின் ஊட்டச்சத்து தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்வதை உறுதி செய்தது. இந்த கட்டத்தில், திட்டம் வெறும் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை மட்டுமல்ல, ஆறுதல் மற்றும் ஆதரவையும் அளித்தது

கட்டம் 03: CCC ஹவுஸ், மஹரகம – மே 24

புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்தை போஷிப்பதற்கான அவர்களின் அர்ப்பணிப்பைத் தொடர்ந்து, திட்டத்தின் மூன்றாம் கட்டம் மீண்டும் மே 24 அன்று மஹரகமவில் உள்ள CCC இல்லத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. இம்முறை, கடலை, கவ்வி, சாதம், பொல் சம்போல், பருப்பு கறி, முட்டை குழம்பு, சீனி சம்போல் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு வகையான சத்தான பொருட்கள் பயனாளிகளுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது. அவர்களின் குறிப்பிட்ட உணவுத் தேவைகளுக்கு ஏற்ப உணவைத் தயாரிப்பதன் மூலம், SLIIT இன் Rotaract Club புற்றுநோயாளிகள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் தனித்துவமான சவால்களைப் பற்றிய ஆழமான புரிதலை வெளிப்படுத்தி, அவர்களின் ஒட்டுமொத்த நல்வாழ்வை மேம்படுத்த முயற்சித்தது.

புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்தில் நீடித்த தாக்கம்:

“ஒருவரின் உதவிக்கரம் மற்றொருவரை குணப்படுத்த உதவும்” திட்டம், புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்திற்கான SLIIT இன் ரோட்ராக்ட் கிளப்பின் நீடித்த அர்ப்பணிப்புக்கான சான்றாகும். புற்றுநோயுடன் போராடும் நபர்களுக்கு ஊட்டமளிப்பதற்கும் ஆதரவளிப்பதற்கும் தங்கள் முயற்சிகளை அர்ப்பணிப்பதன் மூலம், கிளப் உடல் பசியை மட்டுமின்றி, இந்த போர்வீரர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் உணர்ச்சி சுமைகளையும் போக்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

உறுப்பினர்களின் ஊக்கமளிக்கும் அர்ப்பணிப்பின் கீழ், SLIIT இன் ரோட்ராக்ட் கிளப் புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்தின் நம்பிக்கையாக மாறியுள்ளது, அன்பை பரிமாறுதல் மற்றும் அர்த்தமுள்ள மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்துவதில் கூட்டுச் செயல்பாட்டின் சக்தியை நம் அனைவருக்கும் நினைவூட்டுகிறது இத்திட்டம்.

 SLIIT இன் ரோட்ராக்ட் சங்கமானது “ஒருவரின் உதவிக்கரம் மற்றொருவரை குணப்படுத்த உதவும்” திட்டம் தொடர்வதால், புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்தில் அதன் தாக்கம் ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் வலுவடைகிறது. சூடான உணவு மற்றும் அசைக்க முடியாத ஆதரவை வழங்குவதன் மூலம், இந்த திட்டம் புற்றுநோயுடன் போராடுபவர்களுக்கு ஆறுதல், நெகிழ்ச்சி மற்றும் ஊட்டச்சத்தை அளிக்கிறது. புற்றுநோய் சமூகத்தின் நல்வாழ்வுக்கான SLIIT இன் rotaract Club இன் அர்ப்பணிப்பு, நாம் இணைந்து நீடித்த தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்த முடியும் என்பதையும், புற்றுநோயை எதிர்கொள்ளும் எவரும் பசியை தனியாக எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டியதில்லை என்பதையும் உறுதிசெய்ய முடியும்.
