In an inspiring initiative to uplift the spirits of children and empower their emotional well-being, Rotaract Club of SLIIT, through its Community Service Avenue, organized Phase 3 of the project ‘Rewrite Their Story’ on the 20^th of April 2023. Held at the Community Concern in Dehiwala, this event aimed to provide a platform for children to learn the art of self-expression while simultaneously fostering their mental health. The children were encouraged to explore their creativity and embrace their inner artists through a series of engaging activities. The event had two primary objectives: enhancing the children’s mental health and equipping them with alternative coping mechanisms. The children were able to explore diverse art forms, ultimately enriching their overall well-being.

Our club members embarked on this transformative mission to unleash the creativity within these young souls, with a keen awareness of the hurdles faced by children when trying to articulate their emotions. They were grouped together and given the task of creating a painting depicting an activity that they would love to engage in. As these talented youngsters breathed life onto their canvases with vivid paintings, it allowed them not only to channel their emotions but also provided an avenue for self-discovery and growth. 

In addition to the art sessions, there were various fun learning opportunities. The children were encouraged to write and exchange messages conveying appreciation and motivation for their friends. This exercise helped to foster a sense of camaraderie and taught them the importance of supporting one another during difficult times. The children were able to experience the value of gratitude and the joy that comes from uplifting others through these heartfelt messages.

To culminate the event on a harmonious note, our members had organized a sing-along session. It was truly joyful to experience the sweet melodies of the children’s voices as they sang their hearts out. The sing-along served as a reminder that through collective expression, one can find solace and create lasting bonds. Overall, this enchanting day of artistic exploration created a truly magical experience for the children, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts and minds.

දරුවන්ගේ මනෝභාවයන් නඟා සිටුවීමට සහ ඔවුන්ගේ චිත්තවේගීය යහපැවැත්ම සවිබල ගැන්වීමේ ප්‍ර​බෝධමත් මුලපිරීමක් ලෙස, SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ  ප්‍ර​ජා සේවා මාවත හරහා ‘Rewrite Their Story’’ ව්‍යාපෘතියේ 3 වන අදියර 2023 අප්‍රේල් 20 වන දින සංවිධානය කරන ලදී. දෙහිවල ප්‍ර​ජා ශාලාවේදී මෙම උත්සවය දරුවන්ට ස්වයං ප්‍ර​කාශන කලාව ඉගෙන ගැනීමට වේදිකාවක් සලසා දෙන අතරම ඔවුන්ගේ පැවැත්විණි. ආකර්ශනීය ක්‍රියාකාරකම් මාලාවක් හරහා ඔවුන්ගේ නිර්මාණශීලීත්වය ගවේෂණය කිරීමට සහ ඔවුන්ගේ අභ්‍යන්තර කලාකරුවන් වැලඳ ගැනීමට දරුවන් දිරිමත් කරන ලදී. මෙම අවස්ථාවට මූලික අරමුණු දෙකක් තිබුණි: දරුවන්ගේ මානසික සෞඛ්‍යය වැඩි දියුණු කිරීම සහ විකල්ප සටන් අධ්‍යාපන  යාන්ත්‍රණවලින් ඔවුන් සන්නද්ධ කිරීම. ළමයින්ට විවිධ කලා ආකෘතීන් ගවේෂණය කිරීමට හැකි වූ අතර අවසානයේ ඔවුන්ගේ සමස්ත යහපැවැත්ම පොහොසත් විය.

අපගේ සමාජයේ සාමාජිකයින් මෙම ළමා මනස තුළ ඇති නිර්මාණශීලීත්වය මුදා හැරීම සඳහා මෙම පරිවර්තනීය මෙහෙවර ආරම්භ කළේ ඔවුන්ගේ හැඟීම් ප්‍ර​කාශ කිරීමට උත්සාහ කිරීමේදී ළමයින් මුහුණ දෙන බාධාවන් පිළිබඳව දැඩි අවබෝධයක් ඇතිව ය. ඔවුන් එකට එකතු කර ඔවුන් නියැලීමට කැමති ක්‍රියාකාරකමක් නිරූපණය කරන චිත්‍රයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීමේ කාර්යය භාර දෙන ලදී. මෙම දක්ෂ දරුවන් සජීවී සිතුවිලි තුලින් තම කැන්වසයට ප්‍රාණවත් කිරීමත් මත් සමඟ එය ඔවුන්ට ඔවුන්ගේ හැඟීම් මෙහෙයවීමට පමණක් නොව ස්වයං-සොයාගැනීම සහ වර්ධනය සඳහා ගමන් ම‍ගද ලබා දුන්නේය. 

කලා සැසිවලට අමතරව විවිධ විනෝදාත්මක ඉගෙනුම් අවස්ථා ද තිබුණි. තම මිතුරන් අගය කිරීම සහ අභිප්‍රේරණය කිරීම සඳහා පණිවිඩ ලිවීමට සහ හුවමාරු කර ගැනීමට දරුවන් දිරිමත් කරන ලදී. මෙම අභ්‍යාසය සුහදතාවයේ හැඟීමක් ඇති කිරීමට උපකාරී වූ අතර දුෂ්කර කාලවලදී එකිනෙකාට සහයෝගය දැක්වීමේ වැදගත්කම ඔවුන්ට කියා දුන්නේය. මෙම හෘදයාංගම පණිවිඩ හරහා කෘතඥතාවයේ වටිනාකම සහ අන් අයව නඟා සිටුවීමෙන් ලැබෙන සතුට දරුවන්ට අත්විඳීමට හැකි විය.

උත්සවය සුහදව අවසන් කිරීම සඳහා, අපගේ සාමාජිකයින් ගායනා සැසියක් සංවිධානය කර තිබුණි. ඔවුන් හදවතින්ම ගී ගයන විට දරුවන්ද ඔවුන්ගේ මිහිරිතම තනු වයමින් ඇත්තෙන්ම සතුටක් විය. සාමූහික ප්‍රකාශනය තුළින් කෙනෙකුට සැනසීම සොයා ගත හැකි බවත් කල්පවත්නා බැඳීම් ඇති කර ගත හැකි බවත් මතක් කිරීමක් ලෙස ගායනා කිරීම ක්‍රියා කළේය. සමස්තයක් ලෙස ගත් කල, මෙම සිත් ඇදගන්නාසුළු කලාත්මක ගවේෂණ දිනය ළමයින්ට සැබවින්ම ඉන්ද්‍රජාලික අත්දැකීමක් නිර්මාණය කළ අතර, ඔවුන්ගේ හදවත් සහ මනසෙහි නොමැකෙන සලකුණක් තබයි.

குழந்தைகளின் உற்சாகத்தை உயர்த்துவதற்கும் அவர்களின் உணர்ச்சி நல்வாழ்வை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கும் ஒரு ஊக்கமளிக்கும் முயற்சியில், SLIIT இன் Rotaract Club, அதன் சமூக சேவை அவென்யூ மூலம், 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 20 ஆம் திகதி Rewrite their story’ திட்டத்தின் 3 ஆம் கட்டத்தை ஏற்பாடு செய்தது. தெஹிவளையில் உள்ள சமூக அக்கறையில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த நிகழ்வானது, குழந்தைகளின் மன ஆரோக்கியத்தை வளர்க்கும் அதே வேளையில் சுய வெளிப்பாட்டின் கலையைக் கற்றுக் கொள்வதற்கான தளத்தை வழங்குவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது. குழந்தைகள் தங்கள் படைப்பாற்றலை ஆராயவும், தொடர்ச்சியான ஈடுபாட்டுடன் கூடிய செயல்கள் மூலம் அவர்களின் உள் கலைஞர்களை அரவணைக்கவும் ஊக்குவிக்கப்பட்டனர். இந்த நிகழ்வு இரண்டு முதன்மை நோக்கங்களைக் கொண்டிருந்தது: குழந்தைகளின் மன ஆரோக்கியத்தை மேம்படுத்துதல் மற்றும் மாற்று சமாளிக்கும் வழிமுறைகளுடன் அவர்களை சித்தப்படுத்துதல். குழந்தைகள் பல்வேறு கலை வடிவங்களை ஆராய முடிந்தது, இறுதியில் அவர்களின் ஒட்டுமொத்த நல்வாழ்வை வளப்படுத்தியது.

எங்கள் சங்க உறுப்பினர்கள் இந்த இளம் உள்ளங்களில் உள்ள படைப்பாற்றலை வெளிக்கொண்டு வர இந்த மாற்றும் பணியை மேற்கொண்டனர், குழந்தைகள் தங்கள் உணர்ச்சிகளை வெளிப்படுத்த முயற்சிக்கும் போது அவர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் தடைகள் பற்றிய தீவிர விழிப்புணர்வுடன் அவர்கள் ஒன்றாகத் தொகுக்கப்பட்டு, அவர்கள் ஈடுபட விரும்பும் ஒரு செயலைச் சித்தரிக்கும் ஒரு ஓவியத்தை உருவாக்கும் பணி வழங்கப்பட்டது. இந்த திறமையான இளைஞர்கள் தெளிவான ஓவியங்கள் மூலம் தங்கள் கேன்வாஸ்களுக்கு உயிரூட்டியதால், அது அவர்களின் உணர்ச்சிகளை வெளிப்படுத்த அனுமதித்தது மட்டுமல்லாமல், சுய-கண்டுபிடிப்பு மற்றும் வளர்ச்சிக்கான வழியையும் வழங்கியது.

கலை அமர்வுகள் தவிர, பல்வேறு வேடிக்கையான கற்றல் வாய்ப்புகள் இருந்தன. குழந்தைகள் தங்கள் நண்பர்களுக்கு பாராட்டு மற்றும் ஊக்கத்தை தெரிவிக்கும் செய்திகளை எழுதவும் பரிமாறவும் ஊக்குவிக்கப்பட்டனர். இந்தப் பயிற்சியானது தோழமை உணர்வை வளர்க்க உதவியது மற்றும் கடினமான காலங்களில் ஒருவரையொருவர் ஆதரிப்பதன் முக்கியத்துவத்தை அவர்களுக்குக் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தது. இந்த இதயப்பூர்வமான செய்திகள் மூலம் நன்றியுணர்வின் மதிப்பையும், மற்றவர்களை உயர்த்துவதில் இருந்து வரும் மகிழ்ச்சியையும் குழந்தைகள் அனுபவிக்க முடிந்தது.

நிகழ்வை ஒரு இணக்கமான குறிப்பில் முடிவடைய, எங்கள் உறுப்பினர்கள் ஒரு பாடும் அமர்வுக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்தனர். குழந்தைகளின் குரல்களின் இனிய மெல்லிசையை அவர்கள் மனதைக் கவ்வும்போது அவர்கள் அனுபவிப்பது உண்மையிலேயே மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருந்தது. கூட்டு வெளிப்பாட்டின் மூலம் ஒருவர் ஆறுதல் பெறலாம் மற்றும் நீடித்த பிணைப்புகளை உருவாக்கலாம் என்பதை உணர்த்தியது இந்த திட்டம். ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக, கலை ஆய்வுகளின் இந்த நாள் குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஒரு உண்மையான சிறந்த அனுபவத்தை உருவாக்கியது, அவர்களின் இதயங்களிலும் மனதிலும் ஒரு அழியாத அடையாளத்தை விட்டுச் சென்றது.
