In an empowering collaboration between RAC NSBM and RAC FOLUOC, an exceptional self-defense workshop titled “ENDGAME” unfolded on November 18, 2023, at the NSBM premises. The event, spanning from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, featured a speaker from the legal perspective, Mr. Prashantha Lal De Alwis and showcased the expertise of Sensei T.W.K. Ratnayake, a seasoned Martial Arts Instructor with a rich history dating back to 1988.



The workshop proved to be more than just a martial arts class; it was a transformative experience that aimed to instill self-empowerment and equip participants with valuable skills to protect themselves and their loved ones. Sensei T.W.K. Ratnayake, the esteemed instructor, brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table, creating an environment where over 25 eager participants could absorb the intricacies of self-defense.



Sensei Ratnayake’s martial arts journey is impressive, having studied various disciplines under renowned instructors. From Shotokan Karate to ShitoRyu Karate, GojuRyu Karate, Judo, Kyusho Jitsu, Kapap Krav Maga, to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he has immersed himself in a diverse range of martial arts. His extensive training is reflected in his impressive array of black belts and certifications, including a 7th Degree Black Belt in ShotoKan Karate, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga, Kapap, and a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.



As the Founder and Head Instructor of the Total Extreme Budo Academy (TEBA), Sensei Ratnayake has played a pivotal role in shaping the martial arts landscape. His commitment extends beyond the academy, as he has served as the karate instructor at Prince of Wales College since 1996. Additionally, he holds various licenses and certifications, including an Instructor License from the Japan Shotokan Karate Association and approval from the Sri Lanka Karate-Do Federation.



The ENDGAME workshop provided participants with a unique opportunity to learn practical self-defense techniques from an expert with a vast and diverse martial arts background. The collaborative effort between RAC NSBM and RAC FOLUOC resulted in a successful event that not only enriched the lives of the participants but also fostered a sense of community and shared empowerment.
