Christmas for everyone

Christmas is a magical time of happiness and joy, filled with bright lights all around. But the Christmas spirit matters not if it doesn’t reach everyone. In their philanthropic spirit, the members of the Rotaract Club of SLIIT have decided to take it upon themselves to extend the reach of Christmas joy in this jolly season to make sure that Christmas is for absolutely everyone.

But the Christmas spirit matters not, if it doesn’t reach everyone. In their philanthropic spirit, the members of the Rotaract Club of SLIIT have decided to take it upon themselves to extend the reach of Christmas joy in this jolly season to make sure that Christmas is for absolutely everyone.

On the 27th of December, the dedicated team of altruists embarked on a mission to spread joy to the St. Blaise Church in the city of Moratuwa. Facilitated by the connection with the father of St. Anthony’s Church, they reached out to over 30 underprivileged families in the area. In a heartwarming gesture, they presented them with gifts, which included stationery such as CR books, rulers, pencils, lunch boxes and water bottles for the children of the families. The team continued to stay with the kids, playing fun games with them. They even made sure to gift the winners with chocolates and candy boxes.

Christmas should be a time of joy, and that goes for everyone, regardless of who you are and what your financial situation is. And most importantly no matter where they are from, all children of the should be able to feel magic of the Christmas, the season of joy but also hope. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without being for everybody, and such is the true spirit of the season of giving.
