Cultural Exchange

Project  Cultural Exchange, hosted by the Rotaract Club of Charumati (RID 3292, Nepal-Bhutan), Rotaract Club of Indore Activists (RID 3040, India), and Rotaract Club of SLIIT (RID 3220, Sri Lanka and Maldives), aimed to promote cross-cultural understanding. Participants from diverse backgrounds interacted virtually on March 3rd, sharing customs, traditions, and perspectives.

Each club presented their unique cultural aspects, fostering informative and interactive discussions. Thus, promoting participants to appreciate the richness and diversity within the cultures of Sri Lanka, Nepal and India, encouraging feelings of empathy and acceptance. It broke communication barriers among Rotaractors across borders, sparking genuine interest in learning about each other’s heritage, culture and customs.

Overall, the Cultural Exchange project marked the beginning of new friendships and contributed significantly to spreading education about diverse cultures. It emphasised the importance of cross-cultural dialogue in promoting empathy and appreciation for people from various backgrounds.
