In a groundbreaking collaboration, Rotaract Club of SLIIT, Rotaract Club of Charumati, and Rotaract Club of Indore Activists launched “The Hundred,” a visionary initiative aimed at addressing youth mental health through impactful discussions. By bringing together influential figures from the counseling psychology field, the project sought to shed light on various mental health issues affecting young individuals and provide actionable insights within a concise time frame of 100 seconds.
The project featured six dynamic reels, each spotlighting a different counseling psychologist addressing a critical aspect of mental well-being. From the impact of social isolation to fostering a culture of open dialogue and striking a healthy balance between academic responsibilities and personal well-being, each episode delved into pertinent topics with depth and clarity.
The first episode kicked off with Ms. Dulari Ranasinghe, founder of Mind Leap Counseling Services, exploring the impact of social isolation on youth mental health and strategies for resilience. Subsequent episodes featured renowned counselors such as Ms. Maya Dissanayake, Ms. Kushalie Hettige, Mr. Sufi Abdul Tehseen, Ms. Anupama Vishwakarma, and Mr. Ragab Gautam respectively, each offering invaluable insights to navigate mental health challenges and the importance of balancing one’s own care in demanding work fields.
The informative reels were strategically shared across Instagram and TikTok platforms to reach a diverse audience of youth, teenagers, and young adults. With over 15,100 views and nearly 2000 impressions on Instagram, and an additional 3000+ viewers on TikTok, the project successfully leveraged social media to raise awareness and foster dialogue around mental health.
