“Leadership is not about being in charge. It’s about taking care of those in your charge.”
In our Rotaract Club of SLIIT, no one embodies this more than Rtr. Charith Yohan, our Secretary for 2024-2025. If you’ve ever crossed paths with Charith, you know that his presence is anything but calm—in the best way possible. Charith is a whirlwind of energy and determination, always pushing us to meet deadlines and striving for excellence.

From the start, Charith has shown incredible attention to detail and dedication to our club’s mission. His role as Secretary is far from simple note-taking. He’s the driving force behind our schedules, making sure everything runs smoothly and on time. His work ethic can be described as chaotic but effective. Charith is the kind of workaholic who doesn’t rest until everything is perfect, and while his relentless pace can be a bit annoying at times, we know it’s all for the greater good.
Fun fact: Did you know Charith is part Indian? Some of his family members are from India, so he’s also fluent in Tamil. He’s a fantastic swimmer too—anyone at Synergist can vouch for that! While we were all busy playing volleyball in the pool and some of us were trying not to drown , Charith was casually swimming laps from one end of the pool to the other.
Another thing you might notice about Charith is that he’s always surrounded by girls. It’s like he’s a magnet! If the girls are somewhere, there’s a high probability you’ll find Charith right there with them.

Charith’s dedication goes beyond his responsibilities as Secretary. His involvement in various extracurricular activities shows his passion for continuous learning and personal growth. Balancing these commitments with his relentless drive, he inspires us all to strive for excellence.Under his guidance, we are not just achieving success as a Rotaract club but also creating a legacy of positive impact and growth.

In short, Rtr. Charith Yohan perfectly captures what it means to be an effective leader: combining vision, and a steadfast dedication to collective success. His contributions to our club are invaluable, and we are lucky to have him leading us towards a brighter future.
