The IT Directors of the Rotaract Club of SLIIT for the year 2024-2025, Rtr. Muhammadhu Bishru and Rtr. Thisus Samarasekara, are the unsung heroes behind every post, poster, and digital creation you see. From editing photographs to crafting eye-catching videos, these two bring an unparalleled level of talent and dedication to the club’s online presence. If you’ve ever scrolled through our social media accounts, you’ve seen their work—and yes, even this poster you’re looking at right now has been edited by them. They are incredibly skilled at what they do, but the workload is intense. Since joining the club, it’s a wonder if they’ve had a proper night’s sleep; it’s always “please edit this,” “get that done,” and so much more.

Rtr. Bishru is known around the club as an absolute sweetheart. He’s the kind of person who always checks in to make sure everyone is doing okay. Bishru is particularly obsessed with his Rotaverse decorations—so much so that he’ll spend all night brainstorming and all day bringing those ideas to life. The group chat is constantly buzzing with his messages, asking if anyone is free to help with the decos. But jokes aside, Bishru’s passion for his work is evident in everything he does. He’s also incredibly considerate, making sure that the team isn’t too tired and even buying food for anyone who’s hungry. Bishru’s editing skills are top-tier, and all the girls in the club love him, not just because he can make their photos look less hideous, but because he’s genuinely a kind and caring person. The Rotaract Club of SLIIT is truly lucky to have him as one of its IT Directors.

Rtr. Thisus Samarasekara, on the other hand, is the kindest soul you’ll ever meet. He’s quiet, patient, and has a calming presence, but don’t let that fool you—beneath that serene exterior lies a passionate and dedicated individual. Thisus is not just an IT wizard; he’s also the nerdiest nerd you’ll ever encounter. If he’s not attending lectures, you’ll find him in the lab, his safe space, where he’s always up to something interesting. A fun fact about Thisus is that he works for Hoyoverse, the parent company of Genshin Impact, which is pretty much the coolest thing ever. Despite his busy schedule, he refuses to miss a single lecture, because that’s how committed he is to his studies. His life revolves around editing posts for Rotaract, attending lectures, working in the lab, and managing his job—a lifestyle that sounds peaceful to him. Thisus is a true professional in his field, and his humility and gentlemanly nature only add to his charm.

It’s safe to say that the Rotaract Club of SLIIT has the sweetest and most talented IT Directors for the upcoming year. With Bishru and Thisus at the helm, we’re excited to see what incredible work they’ll continue to produce.
