“A day without laughter is a day wasted.” – Charlie Chaplin.
The Rotaract Club of SLIIT did not waste the opportunity to make others laugh with utmost joy, as the Club service avenue organized the standup comedy show ‘අන්hinged’, along with the Club service directors, Rtr. Ranuka Perera and Rtr, Tarini Nanayakkara. The event kicked off on the 23rd of November in the evening at the Duncan White Auditorium with a lively crowd that not only included Rotaractors but non-rotaracters as well, all gathered for a night of entertainment and laughter.
The show was hosted by the fun-loving duo behind the ‘Tipsy Podcast’, Claude Sheehan and Dillon Perera, who carried out the evening with their infectious jokes and amusing style of storytelling, keeping the crowd entertained from the beginning to the end of the night.

The show featured performances from talented and well-known comedians Taniya, Anderson, and Divakar, whose witty comments and contagious energy left the audience in stitches.
The laughter did not end there – music also enhanced the joyful ambiance of this evening, as Amantha Perera delivered an engaging musical performance complemented by the outstanding guitar play by Akash, bringing out a sense of ‘togetherness’ within the audience as they clapped and sang along to the songs.
It was a unique occasion, where both the audience and the entertainers enjoyed their time to the fullest. The performers of the night also took a moment to appreciate the organizing committee for their effort and dedication poured into making this event a success, applauding the fellowship and the true spirit of Rotaract.
The night ended with the announcement of the lucky winner of the Raffle draw and handing out the tokens of appreciation for the performers of the night followed by a heartfelt message of gratitude by the president of the Rotaract Club of SLIIT, Rtr. Jayod Perera.

The crowd’s smiles and positive energy were a testament to the success of the event, proving that moments of joy and connection, like ‘අන්hinged’, are what make such gatherings truly memorable. The event was a remarkable blend of comedy, music, and ‘togetherness’, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating the next one.
