Please welcome our Treasurer for the RI Year 25.26,

Lelani is a force of nature. She’s genuinely kind hearted so she would always be the first to offer a helping hand. Just at first glance, you might be able to guess that she’s a ball of sunshine. Her loud, boisterous laughter is so infectious that once it starts, you will forgot the meaning of control as she inevitably pulls everyone into a fit of laughter making it impossible to stop.

Have you ever heard the phrase “a well rounded individual”? Well, to simply put it, that’s Lelani.  You’d be amazed to find someone who juggles as much as she does. Okay…try to keep up, because in the blender are her two degrees, CIMA, a vibrant social life in university, numerous extra-curricular activities with a syrup of a “fun life.” Her skills in time management is nothing short of miraculous. Seriously, we need a crash course, Lelani.

And if that isn’t impressive enough, Lelani can make a whole room hypnotised with her incredible skills in playing the violin. To help you understand, watch the ending scene of La La Land to get the vibe.

She doesn’t just play the violin, she grabs their emotions and moves an entire audience to tears.

But don’t let her angelic demeanor fool you. She will constantly claim that, “I don’t know how to scold someone,” but tsk tsk, don’t believe her!! (the warning comes from her own household aka her sister). She is a mastermind in play. Because in reality? If someone pushes her to her limits, she will serve a scolding so cold that it would make a drill sergeant embarrased. It’s a rare sight, but definitely one to remember.

If you come upon such a moment, get a butterfly for defence. I mean imagine this, a brilliant, accomplished young woman, an incredible violinist and master of time management….but absolutely terrified of butterflies. Yess, those cute, beautiful, innocent creatures send shock waves through her system. Just the sight of it triggers a scream, an athletic run for cover especially behind the nearest human shield. It’s a hilarious and utterly baffling phobia that adds to her delightful personality. It’s the sprinkle of chaos to her otherwise composed self.

If the avengers ever need someone with the superpower of sleep, they don’t have to look any further. Lelani can literally fall asleep anywhere, at any time. Her sister claims that, to wake her up, you need a 5 course meal, which might not even be enough. We’re talking about a level of deep sleep that could withstand a bomb blast.

Thanks to years of practice, Lelani has successfully turned her sister into an accidental musician, armed with banging pots and pans for the daily morning routine.

Regardless, Lelani is a reminder that you can be deeply kind, incredibly driven and accomplished, yet still have a few wonderful yet funny qualities that makes her, her.
