Forget the movies, because we have our own celebrity who makes sure all our exciting plans are executed, the debates are lively, and the vibes are just right!

Please welcome one of the Vice Presidents for the RI Year 25.26,

Anishka may not be a stranger to you because he is a lowkey celebrity. Like “literally”(recall how he always says it), he will always stop to chat with anyone. Even if its thinking aloud about the most random things like: “Dinosaurs apparently had hair according to this study I read.” Or stopping someone just to tell them that their degree is not worth doing. He does it every chance he gets (he’s an engineering fellow after all).

And if you think “I wonder why that happens.” then stop and ask him because he knows why. And if you disagree, he will make sure to give you a whole ted talk about why he’s right because funnily enough, he is really bad at agreeing with another person. So he will make his points and then maybe throw random gang signs aka his “GR25”/peace signs just for the vibes.

But besides the random flow of words, he is great at giving advices. One valuable advice he has given is “If you’re in a rough patch, don’t stay in that rough patch.”

What is most endearing about him is that he is not just a man of words, but also a person of action.

A motto that he lives by is “Your life is accumulation of your decisions, so don’t blame anyone else but yourself.”

Though Anishka looks intimidating, he is like a panda when you get to know him. Warm, sociable, and friendly. He is always the first person to check up on someone to see if they had gotten home safe, eaten, or need someone to talk to. You can talk to him about anything because he is someone who will open up to you about something that he’s been through just to make you feel seen and show that you are not alone.  

One thing that is like oxygen for Anishka is the gym. The dedication he puts in and the discipline that he shows in a gym is truly inspiring. To describe him perfectly, I would say he’s a gym guru. However, even he seems to go off track sometimes because if you want to see his true character, you should see him whenever he eats too much cake or anything sweet.

To top the love he has for gym is difficult but not impossible. His quality time with friends tops everything else. He is always in for any plans or unexpected trips. This is why he is someone who had a blast in school. So much fun that he used to change his teeth-braces to match his outfits back in school. And if you were to ask him his most cherished possessions, it’s his prefect’s badges from his time as an assistant head prefect at school and his bat and ball from when he used to play cricket in school. 

Anishka is not Anishka without his spectacles, his two watches (one for style and vibes and another smart watch to count his steps), his constant phrases (“per se”, “I suppose”) that he says in a very specific tone and running game of thrones marathons.

With the same passion that he hits the gym with to putting his heart into every club plan, Anishka is truly a person of action with a mix of depth, warmth, and relentless dedication, wrapped up in a package!
