Welcome to the fourth issue of Friday Feels!
If student life had a movie poster, it would look like a messy film festival where every genre is playing all at once. And honestly, that’s basically what being a student feels like.
We asked students,
“Which movie title best describes your life as a student?”
And the answers? They were like little windows revealing how everyone is surviving this strange, exhausting, exciting phase of life, where action collided with introspection and delicate little moments still found a way to tug at the heart.
“Three Idiots”
That one feels instantly familiar. There’s always that silent pressure to keep up, to succeed, to somehow know exactly what you’re doing with your life at this stage. Everyone else seems to know the script of their life while you’re wandering the hallways, wondering if you’re even on the right path. But beneath the stress, there’s also friendship, laughter in the middle of chaos, and the slow realization that life isn’t only about grades or approval, it’s about figuring out what actually makes you feel alive.
“Dear Zindagi”
This feels like the softest corner of student life. Not dramatic, not chaotic…just real. The kind of student life where you’re learning things that no syllabus teaches you. Learning how to deal with disappointment, how to be kinder to yourself, and learning that it’s okay to not have everything planned out yet. Some semesters feel less like achievement and more like healing. Little by little, you start realising that growing up isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about understanding yourself a little better every day.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once”
This might be the most accurate description of modern student life. Deadlines, assignments, friendships, future plans, family expectations, and especially identity crises, all happening at the same time. One moment, you feel motivated and unstoppable, and the next you’re questioning every decision you’ve ever made while staring at a blank document at 2 a.m. It’s chaotic, overwhelming, and somehow still meaningful.
“Die Hard”
Honestly, this response made me laugh. Because some days, our student life really does feel like survival mode. You’re tired, slightly dramatic, running on caffeine and determination, solving one problem after another like an action hero who did not sign up for this script. And yet, you keep going. Exhausting? Definitely. Heroic? Absolutely.
“Fifty Shades of Grey”
Some days, you feel confident and in control, other days, uncertain and tangled in decisions that aren’t simple. Student life can feel like it’s full of shades and layers of emotional, unpredictable, and deeply personal moments. The kind of growth that doesn’t come with a guidebook. There’s curiosity, vulnerability, and the feeling of stepping into unfamiliar versions of yourself at this stage.
Reading all these responses made one thing crystal clear: Student life isn’t a single genre. It’s comedy, drama, action, coming-of-age, and a bit (maybe a lot) of chaos all rolled into one.
Maybe the best part isn’t finding the perfect title, it’s understanding we’re all characters in our own unfinished stories, still figuring out the plot as we go.
