Our aim was to teach how to use a camera to take images beyond the casual snapshot! Mr. Sajith Fernando started the session by giving a basic introduction about photography. Then he explained about different types of cameras. The workshop covered shooting in manual mode, shooting raw files, understanding the menus, understanding white balance and camera related tools and techniques. There was a practical session on how to handle a digital camera. Participants got the chance to get hands-on experience and learn how to use the digital camera to get the results they want. He explained how aperture, ISO, and shutter speed work together on exposure. Because it is difficult to take good pictures without having a solid understanding of those three settings.

Finally he talked about wildlife photography, which is undoubtedly one of the most interesting areas to talk about. Wildlife photography is a genre of photography concerned with documenting various forms of wildlife in their natural habitat. He explained tips that help you to master the skills needed for successful wildlife photography, from basics to advanced concepts.

Project was a success and received good feedback and some suggestions to improve. All the participants requested to do the next phase of the project.
