Greener Tomorrow phase-06, with the tagline greener and cleaner is an initiative of the Rotaract Club of SLIIT to spread awareness on ways how to save our planet earth, make it greener, cleaner and save it for our future generations.

‘It is our duty to save the environment’s beauty’

A clean environment is a human right like any other. It is therefore part of our responsibility toward the next generation to ensure that the world we pass on is as healthier than we found it.
Rotaract Club of SLIIT took part in being responsible to make the environment beautiful. From the feet to the peak of Pidurangala Mountain path was cleaned by Rotaractors of SLIIT with the help of some climbers, making sure all the garbage were disposed in a proper way.

It is none others’ but ours. Do make sure you grab your garbage and clean the place. Cause a clean mind makes a clean environment 🍃

Plastics may bring us single time avail but the harm may prevail for years. We, being the future of the world can keep a step ahead to protect our mother nature. Water is a precious resource that nature has bestowed on Planet Earth. It is vital for all life forms as also for vegetation. Make sure you count every drop of water.

We need electricity at every moment & in every walk of life. It is considered the soul or the life without which the entire world remains dead & dormant 💡

How can we save electricity?

Even our small attempts to save electricity will be helpful. At home, we should be very careful regarding the electric apparatus used by us. Fans, lights, air-conditioners, refrigerators, water heaters should be used properly. Television sets should not be on when we do not need them. We should use lights and bulbs that consume less power.

Plants and trees make this planet worth living. Without the existence of trees, we cannot imagine life on earth. One of the basic benefits of planting trees is that they provide the life-giving oxygen and absorb carbon-dioxide exhaled by animals. However, not just oxygen trees also provide us fruits, wood, fibre, rubber and much more. Trees also serve as shelter for animals and birds.

It is time to recognize the importance of planting trees and take it as a responsibility to contribute whatever little we can in this direction. 🌱
