After the successful conclusion of the Rotaract year 2019-20, the 30th Rotaract District Assembly was held on the 4th of July 2020, to appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Rotaract clubs of District 3220 and also to hand over the reins to a new District Rotaract Representative and a new District Steering Committee. It was held at The Golden Rose Hotel, Boralesgamuwa with the participation of around 70 Rotaract clubs from all over the island. This year’s assembly was exclusive for the Rotaract District 3220 as well as the Rotaract Club of SLIIT.
Why, you may ask? (Keep on reading🙊)

For starters, this year’s District Assembly was a lot different than the past years. Due to the pandemic, many precautionary measures had to be taken and due to the limit in gatherings, the District provided a live stream of the whole event on Facebook so that the Rotaractors at home could join in as well. While the virtual participants enjoyed the Assembly from home, attendees to the event were requested to wear masks and take other safety measures. There were eight Rotaractors at the venue, representing the Rotaract Club of SLIIT. In the previous years the numbers were around 700+, but this year it leaped to nearly 5500 participants, thanks to it being streamed online. (Mind blown!)

The Rotaract District Secretary Rtr. Harindee Fernando summed up the Rotaract year 2019-20 in her speech and mentioned about the awards the Rotaract District 3220 received. After the speech, the secretary’s report: a beautiful recap video of the year was played.

“We will always be more powerful than we believe ourselves to be”
The outgoing District Rotaract Representative, Rtr. PP Krishan Balaji signed out with an emotional and heart-touching speech, thanking his team as well as the presidents and secretaries of the Rotaract clubs of the District 3220. He urged everyone to believe in their ideas, vision, good work and their strengths and also never to forget all the amazing memories in the Rotaract journey.

Then the crowd was entertained by Blaze, a talented group of beatboxers. Bathiya Jayakody, the famous Sri Lankan singer was the keynote speaker and engaged the audience in an inspirational speech. He also performed a song to entertain the crowd. 🎶🎤

Rtr. PP Kasun Sigera was collared as the new District Rotaract Representative for the year 2020-21 and Rtr. PP Kayalvili Mathavaram was appointed as the Rotaract District Secretary. A new District Steering Committee was appointed as well.

This was an exciting moment for the SLIIT Rotaractors as our very own Immediate Past President Rtr. Duleesha Waidyarathne was appointed as the Joint International Service Director of the District Steering Committee for the year 2020-21. Us being a fairly new Rotaract Club, we are extremely proud of her achievement and we wish her all the best for the coming year!

The cheerful moment was when the awards were being presented. Our attendees from Rotaract Club of SLIIT walked to the stage with pride to receive numerous awards for the year 2019-20!

30 වන රොටරැක්ට් දිස්ත්‍රික් රැස්වීම

තවත් එක් ඉතාමත් සාර්ථක වසරක (2019-20) නිමාව දකිමින් තිස්වෙනි රොටරැක්ට් දිස්ත්‍රික් 3220 පාලන කමිටු රැස්වීම “වීර්යයෙන් එකාවන්ව” යන තේමාව පෙරදැරිව පසුගිය හතර වන දින බොරලැස්ගමුව “ගෝල්ඩන් රෝස්” හෝටලයේදී ඉතාමත් උත්කර්ෂවත් අයුරින් පැවැත්විණි.
මෙම උත්සවයට සමස්ථ ලංකාවම නියෝජනය වන පරිදි ලංකාවේ දැනට ක්‍රියාකාරීව පවතින රොටරැක්ට් සංගම් හැත්තෑවක පමණ සාමාජිකයින් සහභාගි විය.  ඇති වූ කොවිඩ්-19 වෛරස ව්‍යාප්තියත් සමඟ මෙවර නිසි සෞඛ්‍ය උපදෙස් වලට ගරු කරමින් හා ආරක්ෂිත පියවර අනුගමනය කරමින්ද සංවිධානය කර තිබූ මෙම උත්සවය තරමක් වෙනස්ම මුහුණුවරක් ගෙන තිබුණි.මෙය සජීවීව ෆේස්බුක් හරහා විකාශය කිරීමට පියවර ගෙන තිබූ අතර එමඟින් සාමාජිකයින් පන්දහස් පන්සියයකට වැඩි පිරිසකට මෙයට සජීවීව සහභාගී වීමට අවස්ථාව උදා විය.

ප්‍රථමයෙන්ම රොටරැක්ට් 2019-20 පාලන කමිටුවේ ලේකම්ව සිටි Rtr. හරින්දි ප්‍රනාන්දු රැස්ව සිටි පිරිස  අමතා පසුගිය වර්ෂයේ සිදු කල ව්‍යාපෘති පිළිබඳ ලේකම් වාර්තාව ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලදී.ඉන්පසු ගියවර රොටරැක්ට් දිස්ත්‍රික් නියෝජිත ලෙස කටයුතු කල Rtr. PP ක්‍රිෂාන් බලාජි විසින් ඉතාමත් සංවේදී කතාවක් කල අතර ඔහු එහිදී රොටරැක්ට් දිස්ත්‍රික් පාලන කමිටුවෙි සභාපති ,ලේකම් ද ඇතුළුව ඔහුට සහය දුන් සියලුම දෙනාට විශේෂ ස්තූතියක් පුද කරන ලදී.එමෙන්ම ඔහු වැඩි දුරටත් පැවසුවේ සියළුම දෙනා තමන් මෙතෙක් කරගෙන ආ සියලුම යහපත් ක්‍රියා ඉදිරියටත් කරගෙන යා යුතුව ඇති බවත්, තමන් තමන් කරන කාර්යය ගැන විශ්වාසයෙන් කටයුතු කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය බවත්ය.

අනතුරුව රැස්ව සිටි පිරිස රසවින්දනයට පත් කිරීමට “Blaze” බීට් බොක්ස් කණ්ඩායම ඉතාමත් රසවින්දනාත්මක ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමක් සිදු කරන ලදී. ඉන්පසුව BNS සංගීත කණ්ඩායමේ භාතිය ජයකොඩි මහතා පැමිණ රැස්ව සිටි පිරිස ඇමතූ අතර ඔහු එහිදී රැස් ව සිටි පිරිසව ගීතයෙන් පිනවීමටද අමතක කළේ නැත.නව වර්ෂය (2020-21) සඳහා නව රොටරැක්ට් දිස්ත්‍රික් නියෝජිතවරයා ලෙස Rtr. PP කසුන් සිගේරා පත්කල අතර නව ලේකම්වරිය ලෙස Rtr. PP කයල්විලී මාතවරම් පත් කරන ලදී.

මෙය අපගේ SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයටද ඉතාමත් වැදගත් හා නොමැකෙන සංධිස්ථානයක් එකතු කල දිනයකි.ඒ මක්නිසාදයත් අපගේ පසුගිය වසරේ සභාපතිනිය වන Rtr. ඩුලීෂා වෛද්‍යරත්න රොටරැක්ට් ජාත්‍යන්තර සේවා සම-අධ්‍යක්ෂක ධූරයට පත්වීමයි. රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයට අපගේ රොටරැක්ට් සංගමය තරමක් අළුත් වන නිසා මෙවැනි තනතුරකින් අපගේ හිටපු සභාපතිනිය පිදුම් ලැබීම අපගේ සංගමයේ ඉදිරිගමනට ද මහත් රුකුලක් වනු නොඅනුමානය. අපි ඇයගේ ඉදිරිගමන ඉතාමත් සාර්ථක වේවා යැයි සුභ පතමු!
තවද අප රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය ට මෙවර සම්මාන රැසකටම හිමිකම් කීමට ඉඩ හසර උදා විය. එයට ස්තූතිය හිමි විය යුත්තේ අපගේ අධ්‍යක්ෂක මණ්ඩලයට හා අපගේ සාමාජික ඔබ සැමටමය!!!
අවසාන වශයෙන් සියලු දෙනාටම ඉතාමත් සුබ නව රොටරැක්ට් වර්ෂයක් වේවායි පතමු!!!

30 வது ரோட்டராக்ட் மாவட்ட ஒன்றுகூடல்
ரோட்டராக்ட் ஆண்டு 2019-20 வெற்றிகரமாக முடிவடைந்த பின்னர், 30 வது ரோட்டராக்ட் மாவட்ட ஒன்றுகூடல் 2020 ஜூலை 4 ஆம் திகதி நடைபெற்றது, இவ் ஒன்றுகூடலானது ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப்புகளின் கடின உழைப்பு மற்றும் அர்ப்பணிப்பைப் பாராட்டவும், மேலும் புதிய மாவட்ட ரோட்டராக்ட் பிரதிநிதி மற்றும் புதிய மாவட்ட வழிநடத்தல் குழுவிடம் ஒப்படைக்க நடத்தப்பட்டது. போரலெஸ்கமுவாவின் கோல்டன் ரோஸ் ஹோட்டலில் நாடு முழுவதிலும் இருந்து சுமார் 70 ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப்புகள் பங்கேற்றன. இந்த ஆண்டின் ஒன்றுகூடலானது ரோட்டராக்ட் மாவட்ட 3220 மற்றும் ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப் ஆஃப் SLIIT க்கு பிரத்யேகமானது. காரணம்…

இந்த ஆண்டின் மாவட்ட ஒன்றுகூடலானது கடந்த ஆண்டுகளை விட மிகவும் வித்தியாசமானது. தொற்றுநோய் காரணமாக, பல முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுக்கப்பட வேண்டியிருந்தது, பங்கேற்போர் எண்ணிக்கை கட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்டதால், பேஸ்புக்கில் முழு நிகழ்வும் ஒளிபரப்பு செய்யப்பட்டது, இதனால் வீட்டிலுள்ள ரோட்டராக்டர்களும் நிகழ்வில் பங்கேற்றனர். அத்துடன் நிகழ்வுக்கு வருகைத்தந்தோர் முகக்கவசம் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளை பின்பற்றும்படி கேட்ட்டுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டனர். இந்நிகழ்வில் ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப் ஆஃப் SLIIT ஐ சேர்ந்த எட்டு ரோட்டராக்டர்கள் பங்கேற்றனர். முந்தைய ஆண்டுகளில் இந்நிகழ்வில் பங்கேற்றோர் எண்ணிக்கை 650 ஆக இருந்தது, ஆனால் இந்த ஆண்டு இந்நிகழ்வு கிட்டத்தட்ட 5500 பங்கேற்பாளர்களுக்கு முன்னேறியது, இந்நிகழ்வு ஆன்லைனில் ஸ்ட்ரீம் செய்யப்பட்டதற்கு நன்றி.

வெளிச்செல்லும் மாவட்ட ரோட்டராக்ட் பிரதிநிதி, Rtr. பின்னர் பீட்பாக்ஸர்களின் திறமையான குழுவான பிளேஸால் கூட்டத்தை மகிழ்வித்தனர். இலங்கையின் பிரபல பாடகர் பாத்தியா ஜெயகோடி சிறப்புப் பேச்சாளராக இருந்து பார்வையாளர்களை உற்சாகமூட்டும் உரையில் ஈடுபடுத்தினார். கூட்டத்தை மகிழ்விக்க ஒரு பாடலையும் நிகழ்த்தினார்.
Rtr. பிபி கசுன் சிகேரா 2020-21 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான புதிய மாவட்ட ரோட்டராக்ட் பிரதிநிதியாகவும், Rtr. ரோட்டராக்ட் மாவட்ட செயலாளராக பி.பி. கயல்விலி மாதவரமும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டனர். SLIIT ரோட்டராக்டர்களுக்கு இது ஒரு உற்சாகமான தருணமாகும். 2020-21 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான மாவட்ட வழிநடத்தல் குழுவின் கூட்டு சர்வதேச சேவை இயக்குநராக எங்கள் சொந்த உடனடி கடந்த ஆண்டின் தலைவரான Rtr.துலீஷா வைத்தியாரத்னே நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். நாங்கள் ஒரு புதிய ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப்பாக இருப்பதால், அவரது சாதனை குறித்து நாங்கள் மிகவும் பெருமிதம் கொள்கிறோம், மேலும் அவருக்கு எங்கள் வாழ்த்துக்கள்!
ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப்பின் SLIIT இன் பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் 2019-20 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான ஏராளமான விருதுகளைப் பெறுவதற்காக பெருமையுடன் மேடைக்குச் சென்றனர், அது மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியான தருணமாகும்.
