Last year we strived for A Better Tomorrow. We achieved our dream and made memories for a life time. Now the time has arrived to make the “Better “the “Best”!

With the hope of “Aspiring Eminence”, The Rotaract Club of SLIIT officially stepped to a new dawn on 9^th August 2020 by holding the 8^th Installation Ceremony of the Club. Taking all the necessary Health precautions and obeying all guidelines, the event was successfully taken place at the New Town Hall Auditorium being recorded as the first physical installation held under the current pandemic situation in the country.

With the arrival of distinguished guests, the ceremony was embarked by lighting a special lamp created by our very own Rtr. Nimsara Fernando. Then the installation ceremony was called to order by the outgoing president Rtr. Duleesha Waidyarathne which was followed by the Rotaract formalities. The gathering was welcomed by Rtr. Ishini Weerasinghe, the project co-chairperson. Next, the secretary’s report for the year 2019/2020 was presented by the outgoing secretary Rtr. Thathsarani Wickramarachchi along with a video clip which summarized club’s journey for a better tomorrow.

Then it was time for the outgoing president to adress the gathering for one last time. Following an emotional and  a grateful speech, Rtr. Duleesha next took the chance of appreciating all who contributed to the successful Rotaract year under her guidance. After the distribution of Presidential appreciation awards, Mr. Sahan Jayalath, was invited to the stage to introduce the incoming president. As the most prominent task of the event, Rtr. Keheliya Rajaguru was then collared as the 8^th President of the Rotaract Club of SLIIT for the year 2020/2021.

The newly appointed president addressed the gathering on his vision for the new Rotaract year. The speech highlighted the need of team effort to aspire eminence. Then the president proudly introduced his new board of Directors to the audience with an admirable passion. After the board Introduction, the District Rotaract Representative Rtn. Rtr. PP Kasun Sigera conveyed his warm wishes to the Rotaract Club of SLIIT while emphasizing the club’s progress and service to the society in the previous years. Moreover, speeches were delivered by the District Rotaract Committee Chairman Rtn. Jude Surenthiran – Co District Rotaract Chair who was the Guest of Honor for the evening,  the president of Rotary Club of Battaramulla 2020-21 Rtn. Sri Kandasamy and chief guest for the evening Mr.Panduka Mallawarachchi-Senior manager Administration and HR at SLIIT added colors to the evening.

Our Entertainment partner, Rukshan Xavier made the evening musical with his amazing talents. Then tokens of appreciations were given to the guests and dignitaries by the new president. Our past presidents were also appreciated by the president and the immediate past president. Afterwards the floor was opened for felicitations. 

Termination of the 8^th Installation Ceremony was then marked after the vote of thanks given by the newly appointed secretary of the club, Rtr. Vinuri Galagoda acknowledging everyone who contributed to make the Club’s special day remarkable.

 

~සෑම රාත්‍රියක්ම අලුත් උදාවකින් අවසන් වේ~

SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ 8 වන ස්ථාපන උත්සවය

අවසානයක් කියා දෙයක් නැත. අවසානයක් යනු ආරම්භයක්ම වේ.පසුගිය වසර පුරාවට යහපත් හෙටක් වෙනුවෙන් කැපවුණු අප, මේ වසරේ විශිෂ්ටත්වය කරා ගමන් ඇරඹීමු.නව ‍රොටරැක්ට් වසරක් ආරම්භ කරමින් SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ අටවන ස්ථාපන උත්සවය අති උත්කර්ෂවත් ලෙස 2020 අගෝස්තු නවවන දින කොළඹ නව නගර ශාලාවේ දී පැවැත්විණි.

අපගේ  සාමාජිකයෙකු වන නිම්සර ප්‍රනාන්දු අතින් නිර්මාණය වුණු අලංකාර  පහනකින් ආලෝකමත් වෙමින් සියලුම ආරාධිත අමුත්තන්ගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් කලඑළි ගැන්වුණු අපගේ උත්සවය පසුගිය වසරේ සභාපතිනිය වන දුලීශා වෛද්‍යරත්නගේ කැඳවීමෙන්, රොටරැක්ට් සම්ප්‍රදානුකූලව ආරම්භ විය. ඉශිනි වීරසිංහ විසින් පිළිගැනීමේ කතාව ඉදිරිපත් කළ අතර ඉන්පසු 2019/2020 වසරේ ලේකම්ගේ වාර්තාව ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් පසුගිය වසරේ ලේකම් තත්සරනි වික්‍රමආරච්චි, යහපත් හෙටක් උදෙසා අපි ආ ගමන් මග සාරාංශ ගත කළාය.

තම ධුරයේ රැඳෙමින් සිදුකරන අවසාන නිල කතාව සිදුකළ අපගේ පසුගිය සභාපතිනිය තම රොටරැක්ට් වසර සාර්ථක කර ගැනීමට අත්වැලක් වූ සියලුම දෙනාට කෘතගුණ දැක්වීමට අමතක නොකළාය. ඉන්පසු සහන් ජයලත් මහතා විසින් නව සභාපතිතුමන් වන කෙහෙලිය රාජගුරු සභාවට හඳුන්වාදුන් අතර පසුව 2020/2021 වසර සඳහා නව සභාපති ධූරයේ කෙහෙලිය රාජගුරු නිල වශයෙන් 8  වන සභාපති ලෙස රාජකාරී භාර ගත්තේය.

විශිෂ්ටත්වය කරා පියමනින නව වසර සඳහා තම දැක්ම ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් නව සභාපතිතුමන් රැස්වීම ආමන්ත්‍රණය කළේය.පසුව තම නව අධ්‍යක්ෂක මණ්ඩලය රැස්ව සිටි පිරිසට හඳුන්වාදීම ඔහු ඉතාමත් උද්යෝගයෙන් සිදු කළේය. අධ්‍යක්ෂක මණ්ඩල හඳුන්වාදීමෙන් පසුව දිස්ත්‍රික් නියෝජිත, හිටපු සභාපති කසුන් සිගේරා මහතා විසින් ඔහුගේ උණුසුම් සුභ පැතුම් පුද කරමින් සහ SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයෙන්, සමාජයට සිදු වූ මෙහෙය අගය කරමින් ඉතා හරවත් කතාවක් ඉදිරිපත් කළේය.තවද පැමිණ සිටි ආරාධිත අමුත්තන් බොහොමයක්ගේ කතාවලින් අපගේ සන්ධ්‍යාව වර්ණවත් විය. සියල්ලන්ම සංගීතයෙන්  අමන්දානන්දයට පත් කරන්නට සැමදා මෙන් අපට අපගේ සාමාජික රුක්ෂාන් සෙවියර් දායකත්වය සැපයීය.

පැමිණ සිටි ආරාධිත අමුත්තන්ට සහ අපගේ පැරණි සභාපතිවරුන්ට කෘතඥ්ඥතාවය දැක්වීම සඳහා නව සභාපතිතුමන් විසින් සමරු තිළිණ ප්‍රදානය කිරීමේ අවස්තාව එළඹි තිබුණේ ඉන් පසුවය. රොටරැක්ට් මිතුරන් විසින් අපගේ නව වසර වෙනුවෙන් තම සුභාශිංසන එකතු කරන අවස්ථාව ඉන් පසු උදා විය. නව වසර සඳහා ලේකම්, විනුරි ගලගොඩ විසින් ස්තුති කතාව ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් පසුව රොටරැක්ට් සමජයේ 8 වන ස්ථාපන උලෙල අති උත්කර්ෂවත් ලෙස නිමාව දුටුවේය.

ஒவ்வொரு இரவும் ஒரு புதிய விடியலுடன் முடிகிறது

முடிவு என்று எதுவும் இல்லை. ஒவ்வொரு முடிவும் ஒரு புதிய ஆரம்பம்.கடந்த ஆண்டு நாங்கள் ஒரு சிறந்த நாளைக்காக பாடுபட்டோம். நாங்கள் எங்கள் கனவை அடைந்தோம், வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் நினைவுகளை உருவாக்கினோம். இப்போது சிறந்ததை மேலும் சிறந்ததாக மாற்றுவதற்கான நேரம் வந்துவிட்டது!

“ஊக்கம் உயர்வுதரும்” என்ற நம்பிக்கையுடன், SLIIT ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப்பின் 8 வது நிறுவல் விழா மூலம் 2020 ஆகஸ்ட் 9 ஆம் திகதி அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக ஒரு புதிய விடியலுக்கு அடியெடுத்து வைத்தோம். தேவையான அனைத்து சுகாதார முன்னெச்சரிக்கை நடவடிக்கைகளையும் எடுத்து, அனைத்து வழிகாட்டுதல்களையும் கடைப்பிடித்து, இந்த நிகழ்வு வெற்றிகரமாக நியூ டவுன் ஹால் மண்டபத்தில் நாட்டின் தற்போதைய தொற்றுநோய்களின் கீழ் நடைபெற்ற முதல் ரோட்டராக்ட் நிறுவல் விழாவாகும்.

விருந்தினர்களின் வருகையுடன், எங்களில் ஒருவரான Rtr. நிம்சர பெர்னாண்டோ உருவாக்கிய சிறப்பு விளக்கை ஏற்றி விழா தொடங்கப்பட்டது. பின்னர் நிறுவல் விழாவை வெளியேறும் மன்றத் தலைவரான Rtr. டுலிஷா வைத்தியரத்னே ஆரம்பித்துவைத்தார், அதைத் தொடர்ந்து ரோட்டராக்ட் சம்பிரதாயங்கள் நடைப்பெற்றன. அவையில் வீற்றிருந் தோரை திட்ட இணைத் தலைவர் Rtr.இஷினி வீரசிங்க வரவேற்றார். அதை அடுத்து 2019/2020 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான செயலாளரின் அறிக்கையை வெளிச்செல்லும் செயலாளர் Rtr. தட்சரணி விக்ரமராச்சி ஒரு வீடியோ பதிவுடன் வழங்கினார், அப் பதிவின் வாயிலாக ஒரு சிறந்த நாளைக்கான கிளப்பின் பயணத்தை சுருக்கமாகக் காணமுடிந்தது.

 

கிளப்பின் சிறப்பு தினத்தை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கதாக மாற்ற பங்களித்த அனைவரையும் ஒப்புக் கொண்ட கிளப்பின் புதிதாக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட செயலாளர் Rtr.வினுரி கலகொட வழங்கிய நன்றி உரையின் பின்னர் 8 வது நிறுவல் விழா நிறைவடைந்தது.
