Another wonderful night of information was successfully completed with INFOTALK where professional Rotaractors spoke on the IT Industrical standards and other useful information for recent graduates and future graduates. INFOTALK was an initiative by the Rotaract Clubs of Alumni of University of Moratuwa, KDU Southern Campus and SLIIT. An exceptional Panel of Rotaractors who have reached to great heights and currently working in the IT field, graced the event. The session was held on the 10th of August 2021 from 7PM uptill 10PM. Moderators, Rtr. Akash Fernando of Rotaract club of SLIIT and Rtr. Akhila Seneviratne of Rotaract Club of Alumni of University of Moratuwa, carried the session smoothly.
The session was conducted under the Professional Development avenue via Zoom and Facebook with over 100 participants in Zoom. The aim of this project was to share the journey, knowledge and experience of the Rotaract professionals in the IT industry. The session was graced by an experienced group of panelist; Rtn. Rtr. Miyuru Dharmage, Rtn. Rtr. PP. Shanel Mendis, Rtr. PP. Himantha Alahakoon, Rtr. PP. Hasith Prashan, Rtr. Charith Rajitha, Rtr. Nimna Perera, Rtr. IPP. Anju Cheran and Rtr. IPP. Thariq Hamad.
The commencement of the session was begun by a brief introduction on the guest speakers by the Directors of the Professional Development avenues of Rotaract Clubs of Alumni of University of Moratuwa, KDU Southern Campus and SLIIT. The session was conducted under three parts, all guest speakers explained what got them interested to hold onto the IT industry, what influence they had to be in IT industry and what keeps they going in this industry. In the first part of the session, all the speakers shared the experience how they started their journey and built their career into their current status. In the second part of the session, they explained about their Rotaract journey, how they manage their career with the Rotaract life, what they gain from their Rotaract journey, how effective their Rotaract experience was to face the challenges in their career and how to manage multiple priorities together. Also inclusive in the session was how these guest speakers reached the current point they are at whilst answering the interview questions on knowledge sharing. A common quote many guest speakers shared was “Don’t stay in your confort zone”, which is quite true since it doesn’t help one’s development at all. Afterall, the main advice was to be strong without being stressed with work. They gave many valuable tips on being IT professionals in the industry. The Q&A session was the third part of the session. The audience got the chance to ask questions through the chat box and clarify their doubts. All the speakers gave their maximum contribution in the Q&A session with informative explanations.
INFOTALK was a great opportunity for all participants to go build up on their future with the advices of professionals, understand how to adapt and how to choose their dream career. We would like to thank all of the guest speakers for their time and sharing their valuable knowledge. It is also important we thank the organisers of this event for bringing in this opportunity and a special thank you to all the attendees for making this a success.

සාකච්ඡාවට ඇරැඹුමක් ලබාදෙමින් මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ , දක්ෂිණ කොතලාවල ආරක්ෂක විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකා තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ ආයතනයේ වෘත්තීය සංවර්ධන අංශවල අධ්‍යක්ෂකවරුන් විසින් ආරාධිත කථිකයන් පිළිබඳව කෙටි හැඳිවීමක් සිදු කරන ලදී.අදියර තුනකින් සමන්විත වූ සාකච්ඡාවේ ප්‍රථම අදියර යටතේ සියලුම ආරාධිත කථිකයන් විසින් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ ක්ෂේත්‍රය තුළ වර්තමානය තෙක් ඔවුන්ගේ ගමන පිළිබඳව කෙටි පැහැදිලි කිරීමක් සිදුකරන ලදී. දෙවන අදියර යටතේ දී ඔවුන්ගේ රොටරැක්ට් ගමන පිලිබඳවත්, රොටරැක්ට් ජීවිතය සමග තම වෘත්තීය ජීවිතය කළමනාකරණය කර ගන්නා ආකාරය පිළිබඳවත්, රොටරැක්ට් ගමන තුළ ඔවුන් ලබාගත් ජයග්‍රහණයෙන් සහ ලද අත්දැකීම් වෘත්තීය ජීවිතයට උපකාරී වූ අන්දම පිළිබඳවත් වටිනා කරුණු රැසක් සාකච්ඡාවට භාජනය කෙරිණි. ආරාධිත කථිකයන් සියල්ලන්ම පාහේ දක්වන ලද අදහස වූයේ ” ඔබේ සුව පහසු කලාපය රැඳී නොසිටින” යන්නයි. ඒ කිසිවෙකුගේ දියුනුවට උපකාරී නොවන බව ඔවුන් මනාව පැහැදිලි කර දුනි. වෘත්තීය ජීවිතය සාර්ථක කර ගැනීම සඳහා ඉතා විශාල උපදෙස් රාශියක් ලබා දුන් පසු ප්‍රධාන අවවාදය ලෙස අයිතියට පත් නොවී ශක්තිමත්ව කටයුතු කරන ලෙස වටිනා අවවාදයක් ලබා දීමට ඔවුන් අමතක නොකළහ. තෙවන අදියර ලෙස සාකච්ඡාවට සහභාගි වූවන්ගේ ගැටලු නිරාකරණය කිරීම සිදුකෙරිණි. සියලුම ආරාධිත කථිකයන් විසින් එම ගැටලු නිරාකරණය කරදීම සඳහා ඔවුන්ගේ උපරිම සහයෝගය ලබාදීම ස්තූතිපූර්වකව සිහිපත් කළ යුතුය.
InfoTalk ව්‍යාපෘතිය ඕනෑම පුද්ගලයකුට තම ඉදිරි වෘත්තීය ජීවිතය සාර්ථක කරගන්නා ආකාරය පිළිබඳව විශාල දැනුමක් ලබාගැනීම සඳහා උපකාරී වූ බව නොරහසකි. මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය මේ ආකාරයෙන් සාර්ථකව නිම කරගැනීම සඳහා ආරාධිත කථිකයන් විසින් ඔවුන්ගේ වටිනා කාලය වැය කර ලබාදුන් අමිල සහයෝගයට ස්තූතිවන්ත විය යුතුය. එමෙන්ම සංවිධායක මඩුල්ලත් සහ සහභාගී වූ සියලු දෙනාත් ලබා දුන් සහයෝගය ස්තූති පූර්වකව සිහිපත් කරන අතර තවත් මෙවන් ව්‍යාපෘති ඔබ වෙත ගෙන ඒමට නොඉවසිල්ලෙන් බලා සිටින්නෙමු.
