The Project Mirror was initiated by the Rotaract club of SLIIT on 2nd of October 2021 under Community Services Avenue. The session was conducted via zoom platform. The theme for the day was “Reflecting on my reflection”. The Project Mirror has started at 7PM with 260+ participants to the session.

The guest speakers of the session were Ms. Shanuki De Alwis, a freelance creative consultant, speaker, motivator and changemaker and Mr. Danushka Kodikara a motivational speaker, strength-based trainer, national commonwealth champion and online personal trainer. This project was powered by British Cosmetics.

Project Mirror was focused on body positivity, how to reflect against negative thoughts of humans for the skin tone and the body shaming. The guest speakers discussed their life experiences and practical knowledge and how they overcame the negative mindset of people against skinny or fat body shaming. It was an extremely effective tool, to the audience, to get knowledge about how to get a positive body and mind, healthy and positive body which is more important than the look – fat or skinny body or dark or fair skin tone. And it gives the confidence to stand in front of the mirror and reflect on your reflection in a whole new light of beaming confidence. So, our unconditional self-love and acceptance, is Reflecting on our reflection.

The answer for the question “Why did you choose to be Chubby rather than take any effort to wait” also clearly discussed how a person looks confidently on his/her looks not for others comments.
In the middle of the session some creative awareness videos by well-wishers were also shown to us which were about positivity of body shaming and skin tone. It added interest and fascination towards the project.

The project provided valuable information for many participants. And finally, the session successfully concluded with the vote of thanks by SBS group member Mr.Nadev Ravindran. We would like to sincerely thank Ms. Shanuki De Alwis and Mr. Dhanushka Kodikara on the effort and time they took for the successful completion of Project Mirror. ශ්‍රි ලංකා තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ ආයතනයේ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය විසින් සමාජ සේවා අංශය යටතේ දියත් කළ Mirror ව්‍යාපෘතිය 2021 ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 02 වැනිදා පස්වරු 7.00 සිට zoom තාක්ෂණය ඔස්සේ පැවැත්විණි. “මාගේ පරාවර්තනයන් පිළිබිඹු කිරීම” යන තේමාව යටතේ 260කට අධික පිරිසකගේ සහභාගීත්වයක් සහිතව ව්‍යාපෘතිය සාර්ථකව නිමා කිරීමට අපට හැකි විය.

වැඩසටහනෙහි ආරාධිත කථිකයන් ලෙස ශනුකි ද අල්විස් මහත්මිය සහ ධනුෂ්ක කොඩිකාර මහතා සම්බන්ධ වූ අතර ප්‍රසිද්ධ රූපලාවන්‍ය ආයතනයක් වන British Cosmetics ආයතනය වැඩසටහනෙහි ප්‍රධාන අනුග්‍රාහකත්වය දැරීය.

ව්‍යාපෘතියෙහි මූලික අවධානයට ලක් වූයේ ශරීරයේ ධනාත්මකභාවය පවත්වා ගැනීම, සමේ පැහැය සම්බන්ධව පවතින මතවාද සහ ශරීර පෙනුම උපහාසයට ලක්කිරීම වැළැක්වීම යන මාතෘකාය. ආරාධිත කථිකයන් ඔවුන්ගේ ජීවිත අත්දැකීම් සහ ප්‍රායෝගික දැනුම ආශ්‍රයෙන් අවධානය යොමු වූ මාතෘකා පිළිබඳව පුළුල්ව සාකච්ඡා කළහ. ශරීරයේ ධනාත්මකභාවය සහ යහපත් මානසික සෞඛ්‍ය පිළිබඳව දැනුමක් ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා මෙම වැඩසටහන අතිශය වැදගත් විය. වැඩසටහන පුරාවටම අපගේ සිතුම් පැතුම් සහ පරාවර්තනයන් සඳහා නව අරුතක් එක් කිරීමට කථිකයන් සමත් විය.

“බලා සිටීමට යම් උත්සාහයක් ගන්නවට වඩා ඔබ චබී වීම තෝරා ගත්තේ ඇයි?” යන ප්‍රශ්නයට පිළිතුරත් පුද්ගලයකු ඔහුගේ හෝ ඇයගේ පෙනුම ධනාත්මකව අවබෝධ කරගන්නේ කෙසේද යන්න පිළිබඳවත් මෙහිදී පැහැදිලි කර දුනි.

වැඩසටහන අතරතුරදී ශාරීරික පෙනුම උපහාසයට ලක්කිරීම වැලැක්වීම, ශරීර ධනාත්මක බව දිරිමත් කිරීම සහ රූපලාවණ්‍ය සත්කාර භාවිතය පිළිබඳව සහභාගි වූවන් දැනුවත් කිරීම සඳහා ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ ප්‍රවීණයන් විසින් නිර්මාණය කරන ලද වීඩියෝ කිහිපයක් ද ඉදිරිපත් කෙරිණි. සියල්ලන්ගේම උනන්දුවත් ආකර්ෂණයත් ව්‍යාපෘතිය වෙත ගෙන ඒමට ඒවා ඉමහත් දායකත්වයක් දැක්වීය.

திட்டம் கண்ணாடியானது(Mirror) SLIIT இன் ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப் 2021 அக்டோபர் 2 ஆம் தேதி சமூக சேவைகள் அவென்யூவின் கீழ் துவங்கியது. அமர்வு ஆனது ஜூம் மேடையில் நடத்தப்பட்டது. அன்றைய கருப்பொருள் “என் பிரதிபலிப்பைப் பிரதிபலிக்கிறது” என்பதாகும். ப்ராஜெக்ட் மிரர் அமர்வுக்கு 260+ பங்கேற்பாளர்களுடன் பிற்பகல் 7 மணியளவில் தொடங்கியது.
