Each person’s life is like a mandala – a vast, limitless circle. We stand in the center of our own circle, and everything we see, hear and think forms the mandala of our life.
MANDALART, initiated by the Club Service Avenue was an art competition for all mandal art lovers to showcase their talents. Registrations for the competition was opened on 28th of September for all Mandal artists and it was closed on 5th of October with an overwhelming number of registrations. All the submissions of contestants were published on the MANDALART Instagram page encouraging more artists to join.
After closing submissions on 12th of October, voting started at 12.00pm raging the enthusiasm of all participants of the competition. After a very competitive voting round, the top 10 Mandal arts with the most number of likes were selected for the next round.
Competition getting more excited, began voting for the second round on 13th of October and it was kept open until 11.59pm on 14th of October and the art with the most number of likes was selected as the winner of the MANDALART competition.
Official sponsor who supported us though out this competition was “Gifts by T” and the official co-sponsor was “Crunchilicious”. Our guest judge for the MANDALART competition was Ms. Danukshi Madawala, a teacher at Sujatha Vidyalaya Nugegoda who holds a BSc in Fine Arts from the University of Visual and Performing Arts.
Then came the most awaited time of the competition; the time to witness the best out of best. Final round of MANDALART was held on 16th of October through zoom platform and it was a vibrant night filled with exquisite colors. The event was started with the heartwarming welcome speech delivered by the president of the Rotaract Club, Rtr. Nimsara Fernando. Then all the mandala arts sent to the competition was presented to the audience as a creative arts show encouraging all the participants.
After that with all the excitement, the top 3 most popular mandala arts were announced. Third place was won by Amani Saferdeen of American College of Higher Education and the second place was won by Kavindi Samudika of SLIIT. Sandavi Gunawardena, obtaining the first place, became the winner of the most popular category of MANDALART competition.
Selecting the winner of the most talented category of the competition was a real struggle and was selected through a huge selection process. AswadKhan Alysha Sabana of University of Colombo became the winner of the most talented category for the wonderful Mandal art she has drawn.
Then the names of the top 10 Mandal arts were announced admiring all their hard work and incomparable creativity. We congratulate all the winners of the MANDALART competition, and they will be rewarded with gifts and certificates to appreciate their efforts towards this competition. The event was concluded with the delivery of vote of thanks by Rtr. Manisha Alwis and the project MANDALART was successfully completed.
ය – විශාල, අසීමිත කවයක්. අපි අපේම කවයේ මධ්‍යයේ සිටගෙන සිටින අතර අප දකින, අසන සහ සිතන සෑම දෙයක්ම අපගේ ජීවිතයේ මණ්ඩලය සාදයි.
ශ්‍රි ලංකා තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ ආයතනයේ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ සමාජ සේවා අංශය විසින් ආරම්භ කරන ලද MANDALART ව්‍යාපෘතිය යනු සියලුම මැන්ඩල් කලා ලෝලීන්ට ඔවුන්ගේ දක්ෂතා ප්‍රදර්ශනය කිරීම සඳහා අවකාශය සැපයූ චිත්‍ර තරඟයකි. සැප්තැම්බර් මස 28 වැනිදා සියලුම මැන්ඩල් කලාකරුවන්ට තරඟය සඳහා ලියාපදිංචිය විවෘත කරන ලද අතර එය අතිවිශාල ලියාපදිංචිකිරීම සංඛ්‍යාවක් සමඟ ඔක්තෝබර් මස 05 වැනිදා අවසන් විය. තරඟකරුවන්ගේ සියලුම නිර්මාණ MANDALART Instagram පිටුවෙහි ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කරන ලද්දේ තවත් කලාකරුවන්ට මෙයට සම්බන්ධ වීමට දිරිගැන්වීමක් වශයෙනි.
ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 12 වැනිදා නිර්මාණ බාර ගැනීම අවසන් කිරීමෙන් පසුව තරඟයට සහභාගි වූ සියලුම දෙනාගේ උද්යෝගය දෙගුණ තෙගුණ කරමින් මනාප ප්‍රකාශ කිරීම එදින දහවල් 12 ට ආරම්භ විය. ඉතා තරඟකාරී වටයකින් පසුව වැඩිම මනාප ප්‍රමාණයක් ලබාගත් හොඳම මැන්ඩල් කලා නිර්මාණ 10 ඉදිරි වටය සඳහා තෝරා ගන්නා ලදී.
තරඟය වඩාත් උද්යෝගිමත් වෙමින් ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 13 වන දින දෙවන වටය සඳහා මනාප ප්‍රකාශ කිරීම ආරම්භ කරන ලද අතර එය ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 14 වැනිදා රාත්‍රී 11.59 දක්වා විවෘතව තැබිණි. එහිදී වැඩිම මනාප ප්‍රමාණයක් ලබාගත් කලා නිර්මාණය MANDALART තරඟයේ ජයග්‍රාහකයා ලෙස තෝරා ගන්නා ලදී.
මෙම තරඟයෙහි නිල අනුග්‍රාහක භවතා “T Gifts” ආයතනය වූ අතර නිල සම අනුග්‍රාහකයා වූයේ “Crunchilicious” ආයතනයයි. MANDALART තරඟයෙහි ආරාධිත විනිසුරුවරිය වූයේ සෞන්දර්ය කලා විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ ලලිත කලාව පිළිබඳ ශාස්ත්‍රවේදී උපාධිධාරිනියක් වූ නුගේගොඩ සුජාතා විද්‍යාලයේ ගුරුවරියක වන දනුක්ෂි මඩවල මහත්මියයි.
සැවොම නොයිවසිල්ලෙන් බලා සිටි අවස්ථාව පැමිණියේ ඉන් පසුවය; හොඳම දේ දැකීමට කාලයයි. MANDALART හි අවසන් වටය ඔක්තෝබර් මස 16 වැනිදා zoom තාක්ෂණය ඔස්සේ පවත්වන ලද අතර එය විචිත්‍රවත් වර්ණවලින් පිරුණු මනරම් රාත්‍රියක් විය. උත්සවය ආරම්භ වූයේ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ සභාපති Rtr. Nimsara Fernando විසින් සභාව ඇමතීමත් සමඟිනි. අනතුරුව තරඟයට යොමු කරන ලද සියලුම මැන්ඩල් කලා නිර්මාණයන් සහභාගී වූ සියලුම දෙනා වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලදී.
ඉන්පසුව ජනප්‍රියම මැන්ඩල් කලා නිර්මාණ ත්‍රිත්වය ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කරන ලදී. තෙවන ස්ථානය ඇමරිකානු උසස් අධ්‍යාපන ආයතනයෙහි අමානි සෆර්ඩීන් විසින් දිනාගත් අතර දෙවැනි ස්ථානය ශ්‍රී ලංකා තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ ආයතනයේ කාවින්දි සමුදිකා විසින් දිනා ගන්නා ලදී. සඳවි ගුණවර්ධන ප්‍රථම ස්ථානය ලබා ගනිමින් MANDALART තරඟයේ ජනප්‍රියම කාණ්ඩයේ ජයග්‍රාහිකාව පත්විය.
තරඟයේ දක්ෂතම කාණ්ඩයේ ජයග්‍රාහකයා තේරීම ඉතා අපහසු වූ අතර විශාල තේරීම් ක්‍රියාවලියකින් අනතුරුව ජයග්‍රහකයා තෝරා ගන්නා ලදී. කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ AswadKhan Alysha Sabana විසින් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලද අපූරු මැන්ඩල් කලා නිර්මාණය දක්ෂතම අංශයේ ජයග්‍රහණය හිමිකර ගන්නා ලදී.
අවසන් වශයෙන් තරඟකරුවන් සියලු දෙනාගේම කැපවීම සහ අසමසම නිර්මාණශීලීත්වය අගය කරමින් හොඳම මැන්ඩල් කලා නිර්මාණ 10 ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කරන ලදී. MANDALART තරඟයේ සියලුම ජයග්‍රහකයින්ට අපගේ සුභ පැතුම් එක් කරන අතර මෙම තරඟය සඳහා ඔවුන් දැරූ උත්සාහය අගය කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් ඔවුන්ට ත්‍යාග සහ සහතිකපත් ප්‍රදානය කෙරිණි. Rtr. Manisha Alwis විසින් ස්තුතියි ප්‍රකාශ කිරීමත් සමඟ උත්සවය් අවසන් විය. MANDALART ව්‍යාපෘතිය සාර්ථකව නිමා කිරීමට සහාය වූ සියලු දෙනාටම අප ස්තුතිවන්ත වෙමු.
