Oh, how I wish the rains would wash my pain away!
Oh, how I wish the winds would blow my misery away!
Oh, carry this burden away to the deep sea!
Oh, carry this grief to a far off land for none to see!
I wish my eyes never saw what it did when I saw thee.
Will there still be a way out if I flee?
Will I finally find solace and peace?
Will all these thoughts of sorrow cease?
I wish my ears never heard what it did when I heard thee.
Oh, how can I set my chained self free?
Alas! I wish my heart never manifested
All that hope my fate ever tested!
That one fateful day…
My thoughts flowing at its slow pace,
Diverted its flow due to your gaze.
But my heart shall no more be offered as bait!
It would but not run the race of hate.
I will cross these oceans of emotion.
All pain and love shall thus face erosion.
Unquenched desires will show no motion.
And my courage will wear out the love potion!
