For brand-new members of Rotaract Club of SLIIT, Rotaverse is one of the largest orientation events offered. It was a tremendous opportunity for them to use teamwork and leadership skills to help their teams succeed. More than 100 people participated virtually in the Rotaverse 2022 initiative, which was started under the Club Service Avenue.

The first day of Rotaverse 2022 was the introductory session, which took place on August 28th. We introduced Rotaract and Rotaract Club of SLIIT to the participants and invited our Staff advisor of RACSLIIT Dr. Kalpani Manathunga, IPDRR Rtn. Rtr. PP Akhila Wijetunga and IPP Rtr. Nimsara Fernando as our Guest Speakers for the first day. Rtr. Akhila Wijetunga talked about “Life with Rotaract”, Rtr. Nimsara Fernando talked about “Fellowship through Rotaract” and our staff advisor Dr. Kalpani Manathunga gave the newbies a motivational speech. Then we presented them with a briefing on the activities that are scheduled for them over the next few days. After the introductory session, we conducted an ice-breaker activity using the Kahoot platform to test their understanding of Rotaract and to encourage them to continue the program.

The following day, August 29th, was the second day of Rotaverse 2022. There, we announced the start of the Rotaverse competition, and 11 teams had already been formed from the participants. Each team’s coordinator and sub-coordinator were chosen from the RACSLIIT Board of Officials and Past Board of Officials based on their availability.  A Fun icebreaker activity was done after the coordinators introduced themselves. Then they explained the different tasks and challenges including riddle solving, video editing, project planning, and crossword that they must accomplish in order to win. Additionally, the organizers revealed the deadlines for submitting various tasks on the second day itself so that they could examine the team’s organization, time management, and cooperation.

They were instructed to present their project ideas for the four main pathways to their respective Coordinators on the third day of Rotaverse, August 31st, and to complete up the submission form with their finalized list of projects. After Rotaverse, the outstanding projects from each team’s list of project ideas, as determined by the President and Secretary of RACSLIIT, will be hosted by the respective team as part of this task’s uniqueness. Each team successfully completed all of the challenges by the conclusion of the third day, which is a remarkable accomplishment.

On September 4th, Rotaverse’s grand finale finally arrived after much anticipation. One of the powerhouses of Rotaract family, ADRR Rtn. Rtr. PP Mindula Perera and GCC for RACSLIIT this year Rtr. IPP Kavinda Senarathne joined us as the judges for the final task, which involved creating a project proposal for the best project concept as determined by our own President and Secretary of RACSLIIT. They all expressed their thoughts on each project proposal briefly and made sure to extend their warmest congratulations to all the new RACSLIIT members on their upcoming Rotaract journey. After a week full of challenges, we were able to choose the winners of the different categories as well as the overall champions after all the tasks and obstacles that consisted in Rotaverse 2022.

To all the winners and participants, please accept our congratulations. We were able to provide our new members with a deeper grasp of Rotaract Club thanks to the Rotaverse project. We owe a great deal of appreciation to the judges and guest speakers who contributed to make this event achievable for you. We also like to acknowledge the efforts of our newest members. We are pleased that, thanks to everyone’s assistance, we were able to accomplish this project effectively.

Rotaverse යනු, SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයෙහි නවතම සාමාජිකයින් වෙනුවෙන් පිරිනැමෙනන විශාලතම ව්‍යාපෘතියකි. ඔවුන්ගේ කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සහ නායකත්ව කුසලතා සංවර්ධනය කර ගැනීමට එය ඔවුන්‍ට විශාල අවස්ථාවක් විය. සමාජ සේවා අංශය යටතේ ආරම්භ කරන ලද Rotaverseහි 2022 මුලපිරීම සඳහා 100 කට අධික පිරිසක් සහභාගී වූහ.

Rtr. PP අඛිල විජේතුංග සහ IPP Rtr. නිම්සර ප්‍රනාන්දු පළමු දිනයේ ආරාධිත කථිකයන් විය. Rtr. PP අඛිල විජේතුංග “රොටරැක්ට් සමඟ ජීවිතය” පිළිබඳවත්, Rtr. නිම්සර ප්‍රනාන්දු “රොටරැක්ට් හරහා සහයෝගීතාවය” පිළිබඳවත් සාකච්ඡා කළ අතර අපගේ මාණ්ඩලික උපදේශිකා ආචාර්ය කල්පනී මනතුංග මහත්මිය විසින් නවකයන්ට අභිප්‍රේරණ දේශනයක්ද සිදු කෙරිණි. ඉන්පසුව ඉදිරි දින කිහිපය තුළ සිදුකිරීමට නියමිත ක්‍රියාකාරකම් පිළිබඳ කෙටි විස්තරයක් ඉදිරිපත් කරන ලදී. හඳුන්වාදීමේ සැසියෙන් පසුව, රොටරැක්ට් පිළිබඳ ඔවුන්ගේ අවබෝධය පරීක්ෂා කිරීමට සහ වැඩසටහන ඉදිරියට පවත්වාගෙන යාමට ඔවුන් දිරිමත් කිරීමට Kahoot භාවිතයෙන් ක්‍රියාකාරකමක් පැවැත්විය.

පසුදා එනම් අගෝස්තු 29 වෙනිදා Rotaverse 2022හි දෙවන දිනයයි. එහිදී අප Rotaverse තරඟයේ ආරම්භය නිවේදනය කළ අතර සහභාගී වූවන්ගෙන් කණ්ඩායම් 11ක් පිහිටුවා ගැනුණි. සෑම කණ්ඩායමකම සම්බන්ධීකාරක සහ උප සම්බන්ධීකාරක RACSLIIT නිලධාරී මණ්ඩලයෙන් සහ පසුගිය නිලධාරී මණ්ඩලයේ සහයෝගයෙන් තෝරාගන්නා ලදී. සම්බන්ධීකාරකවරුන් තමන්ව හඳුන්වා දීමෙන් පසු විනෝද ක්‍රියාකාරකමක් සිදු කරන ලදී. ඉන්පසු ඔවුන් ජයග්‍රහණය කිරීම සඳහා ඉටු කළ යුතු ප්‍රෙහේලිකා විසඳීම, වීඩියෝ සංස්කරණය, ව්‍යාපෘති සැලසුම් කිරීම සහ හරස්පද ඇතුළු විවිධ කාර්යයන් සහ අභියෝග පැහැදිලි කළහ. මීට අමතරව, සංවිධායකයින් විසින් කණ්ඩායමේ සංවිධානය, කාල කළමනාකරණය සහ සහයෝගීතාවය පරීක්ෂා කිරීමට හැකි වන පරිදි නියමිත කාලසීමාවන් පනවන ලදී.

Rotaverse ව්‍යාපෘතියෙන් පසුව, RACSLIIT හි සභාපති සහ ලේකම් විසින් තීරණය කරනු ලබන එක් එක් කණ්ඩායමේ ව්‍යාපෘති අදහස් ලැයිස්තුවෙන් කැපී පෙනෙන ව්‍යාපෘති, අදාළ කණ්ඩායමේ සත්කාරකත්වයෙන් පැවැත්වෙනු ඇත. සෑම කණ්ඩායමක්ම තෙවන දිනය අවසන් වන විට සියලු අභියෝග සාර්ථකව නිම කළ අතර එය කැපී පෙනෙන ජයග්‍රහණයකි.

සැප්තැම්බර් 4 වෙනිදා, Rotaverse හි අවසන් මහා තරඟය අපේක්ෂාවන් රාශියක් සමඟ පැවැත්විණි. RACSLIITහි සභාපතිවරයා සහ ලේකම්වරයා විසින් තීරණය කරනා ලද හොඳම ව්‍යාපෘති සංකල්පය සඳහා ව්‍යාපෘති යෝජනාවක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම සම්බන්ධ වූ අවසාන කාර්යය සඳහා විනිශ්චයකාරවරුන් ලෙස ADRR Rtn. Rtr PP මින්දුල පෙරේරා සහ මෙම වසරේ RACSLIITහි GCC Rtr. IPP කවිඳු සේනාරත්න අප හා සම්බන්ධ විය.  ඔවුන් සියලු දෙනාම එක් එක් ව්‍යාපෘති යෝජනාව පිළිබඳව කෙටියෙන් තම අදහස් ප්‍රකාශ කළ අතර RACSLIITහි නව සාමාජිකයින්ට ඔවුන්ගේ ඉදිරි රොටරැක්ට් ගමනට උණුසුම් සුබපැතුම් පිරිනැමීමට වග බලා ගත්හ. අභියෝගවලින් පිරුණු සතියකට පසු, Rotaverse 2022 හි පැවති සියලු කාර්යයන් සහ අභියෝගවලින් පසු විවිධ කාණ්ඩවල ජයග්‍රාහකයින් මෙන්ම සමස්ත ශූරයන් තෝරා ගැනීමට අපට හැකි විය.

සියලුම ජයග්‍රාහකයින් සහ සහභාගීවූවන් වෙත අපගේ සුබ පැතුම් එක් කිරීමට කැමැත්තෙමු. Rotaverse ව්‍යාපෘතියට ස්තූතිවන්ත වෙමින් රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය පිළිබඳ ගැඹුරු ග්‍රහණයක් අපගේ නව සාමාජිකයින්ට ලබා දීමට අපට හැකි විය. මෙම අවස්ථාව සාක්ෂාත් කර ගැනීමට දායක වූ විනිශ්චයකරුවන් සහ ආරාධිත කථිකයන් අපි බෙහෙවින් අගය කළ යුතුයි. අපගේ නවතම සාමාජිකයින්ගේ උත්සාහයන් පිළිගැනීමට ද අපි කැමැත්තෙමු. සියලු දෙනාගේම සහයෝගයෙන් මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය ඵලදායි ලෙස ඉටු කිරීමට හැකිවීම ගැන අපි සතුටු වෙමු.
