University is a hectic, stressful, yet enjoyable life experience. While the main objective of a university life is to obtain tertiary education it would not be meaningful if you do not get to enjoy it. This is why Rotaract Club of SLIIT took the initiative to organize Melomaniac 2023, a magical evening to let undergraduates show off their musical prowess as well as to unburden their stresses of academic life.
Melomaniac 2023 was held on the 10th of February 2023 from 04.00 pm onwards at the SLIIT Open Air Theatre. Melomaniac was an open mic event where 18 extremely talented individuals including the 3 guest performers; Madara Perera, Vihan Udawela, and Thushan Wijayakoon performed the music of a very talented ensemble of instrumentalists.
The open mic was accompanied by a food stall called “Wale Kade” which included various snacks and drinks for the audience to enjoy. And an audience there was, more than 800 spectators were present to enjoy the food, the music, and the acoustic ambiance. Melomaniac 2023 concluded with Rtr. Anupa Somasundara serenaded the audience with “Raa Ahase” by Billy Fernando.
An evening with music and friends under an auburn sky ended with everyone’s hearts filled with joy and the sky filled with stars. It truly was a magical evening and truly, it was a sight to behold.

ජීවිතයේ විශ්විද්යාල ගමන නම් කලබලකාරී වගේම විනෝදකාමී අත්දැකීමකි. ඉගෙනීම එහි ප්රමුඛ වුවද එයට අරුත් දෙන්නේ ඒ ජීවිතය විඳීමෙනි. එබැවින් එයට තවත් සොඳුරුතම අත්දැකීමක් එකතු කිරීමට ශ්රීලංකා තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණික විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය දායක වූයේ Melomaniac 2023 ගීතමත් සැඳෑව සංවිධානය කිරීම මගිනි. මෙය 2023 පෙබරවාරි මස 10 වන දින සවස 4.00ට SLIIT එලිමහන් වේදිකාව මත පැවැත්වූ අතර එහිදී එය වර්ණවත් කිරීම සඳහා අති දක්ෂයින් 18 දෙනෙකු සමඟ ආරාධිතයන් 3 දෙනෙකුද ; මදාරා පෙරේරා, විහාන් උඩවෙල සහ තුෂාන් විජේකෝන් ද සහභාගී වූවා.
තවද රසවත් ආහාර පාන වල රස බැලීම සඳහා “වලේ කඩේ” නමින් කුටියක්ද එක් කර තිබීම මෙහිදී විශේෂ වූවා. එමෙන්ම 800කට අධික පිරිසක් මෙම අත්දැකීම විඳ ගැනීමට එක්ව සිටීමද මෙහිදී කැපී පෙනුණා. අවසානයේ රොටරැක්ට් සාමාජික අනූප සෝමසුන්දර, බිලී ප්රනාන්දු මහතාගේ “රෑ අහසේ” ගීතයෙන් ප්රේක්ෂක දෙසවන් පිනවා Melomaniac 2023 ගීතමත් සැඳෑව අවසන් කිරීමට සමත්වූවා.
තඹවන් අහස යට තම සමීපතම මිතුරු මිතුරියන් සමඟ සංගීතයෙන් කුලමත් වූ සැඳෑවක් ගත කිරීම කාගෙත් හද සුවපත් කරන ලද දිනයක් වූ බවට නොඅනුමානය.

பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஒரு பரபரப்பான, அழுத்தமான, ஆனால் ஒரு மகிழ்ச்சியான வாழ்க்கை அனுபவம். ஒரு பல்கலைக்கழக வாழ்க்கையின் முக்கிய நோக்கம் மூன்றாம் நிலைக் கல்வியைப் பெறுவதே என்றாலும், நீங்கள் அதை அனுபவிக்கவில்லை என்றால் அது அர்த்தமுள்ளதாக இருக்காது. அதனால்தான், SLIIT இன் Rotaract Club, Melomaniac 2023 ஐ ஏற்பாடு செய்ய முன்முயற்சி எடுத்தது. இது இளங்கலைப் பட்டதாரிகளின் இசைத் திறனை வெளிப்படுத்தவும், அவர்களின் கல்வி வாழ்க்கையின் அழுத்தங்களைக் குறைக்கவும் ஒரு மாயாஜால மாலை.
Melomaniac 2023 2023 பிப்ரவரி 10 ஆம் தேதி SLIIT திறந்தவெளி அரங்கில் மாலை 04.00 மணி முதல் நடைபெற்றது. மெலோமேனியாக் ஒரு திறந்த மைக் நிகழ்வாகும். இதில் 3 விருந்தினர் கலைஞர்கள் உட்பட 18 மிகவும் திறமையான நபர்கள் இருந்தனர்; மதரா பெரேரா, விஹான் உடவெல மற்றும் துஷான் விஜயகோன் ஆகியோர் மிகவும் திறமையான வாத்தியக் கலைஞர்களின் இசையை நிகழ்த்தினர்.
திறந்த மைக்கில் பார்வையாளர்கள் ரசிக்க பல்வேறு தின்பண்டங்கள் மற்றும் பானங்கள் அடங்கிய “வேல் காடே” என்ற உணவுக் கடையும் இருந்தது. அங்கு ஒரு பார்வையாளர்கள், 800க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பார்வையாளர்கள் உணவு, இசை மற்றும் ஒலி சூழலை ரசிக்க அங்கு கூடியிருந்தனர். மெலோமேனியாக் 2023 Rtr உடன் முடிந்தது.
