The first time you go to a Rotaract General Meeting, you would have been startled by the bang of the gavel on the door and for a few seconds, wondered who this annoying fellow is.
Well, up to the task this year is our Sergeant-At-Arms for the RI Year 25.26:
Rtr. Tehan Nimsith

When you imagine Tehan in a position of authority, it’s a little funny. Because if anything needs order, it’s him.
But he approached this role with his own signature flair. As the Sgt-at-Arms, he will make sure everything runs smoothly but with an excessive level of positive energy.
He may be the one in charge of maintaining order, but be beware, his way of ensuring promptness isn’t the gavel, and it’s the infamous, cheerful guilt trip.
He will make you feel terrible for arriving late and he will make you pay for it with the biggest smile on his face. Maybe even give you a high five for it
(even if it takes him a while to reach you)
To be honest, he takes his position very seriously, even if it requires him to stand on a chair just so that he appears to be the taller person while barking orders… I mean, barking orders while his face is working hard to hide his smile. So it’s usually like cheerfully giving instructions.
It’s a wonder how all that positive energy and enthusiasm fits inside that short man. He’s someone who will instantly lighten up the mood. In his presence, you will not be in control of your mood, he will make sure everyone not just tolerates, but also matches his brightness. His unmatched quality is his quirky humour. His ability to make everyone die with laughter is a phenomenon to be analysed. Best part is that he does it very chalantly because he won’t be able to stop himself from laughing either.
Forget ‘glass half full’, Tehan’s glass is always, and I mean always overflowing with positivity. Trying to introduce a negative thought to his mind is an impossible task. It’s like trying to convince a kid that medicine tastes amazing, it’s simply outside the scope of his operating system. It’s endearing but also quite baffling. In a world that often rewards cynicism, Tehan puts them to shame by having an unwavering, almost aggressive amount of optimism.
But beneath all that brightness, he’s someone with deep ambition.
Tehan doesn’t just dream big, he takes manifestation to another level.
This passion is beautifully reflected through his creative talents like singing and playing the guitar. If you put an instrument in his hands, he will convert his infectious positivity into a beautiful melody that’s truly captivating.
But another form of art that he puts his passion into are some interesting hobbies. Like our dude loves to guilt-trip others for fun. I am sure he considers it as a form of art that he executes with a bewildering amount of cheerfulness.
Is it done unconsciously? Who knows!
Maybe his short legs are always in the way of people or it’s his revenge on all the tall people. That won’t be surprising given that his most loved activity is to walk with shorter people so that he can appear to be the taller person.
Tehan is a walking contradiction but that’s exactly why he’s unforgettable.
Tehan is perfect for the position because he doesn’t just keep the club in line, he does it his way with his aggressive, overflowing optimism and cheerful guilt-trip superpowers to make sure everyone enjoys falling into place!
