The PowerPlay Cup 2026, organized collaboratively by the Rotaract Clubs of APIIT, ICBT, RIC, and SLIIT, was successfully held on 29th March at Cricksal Arena, Delkanda. The event brought together Rotaractors and cricket enthusiasts for an exciting evening filled with teamwork, sportsmanship, fellowship, and friendly competition.

The tournament featured four competitive teams, each consisting of six players. Representing the Rotaract Club of SLIIT were rotaractors Kisaja, Subhanujan, Susith Malan, Thiviyan and several non-Rotaractor friends who made valuable contributions throughout the tournament. The team was led by Rtr. Kisaja, whose leadership and encouragement kept the players motivated and united during every match.

SLIIT faced APIIT in the opening match and later competed against RIC. Although the team was unable to secure victories in those matches, the players displayed determination, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout. The final match against ICBT became the highlight of the tournament for the SLIIT team. Through excellent coordination, disciplined bowling,
committed fielding, and energetic batting performances, the team secured a memorable victory that energized both players and spectators.

A special appreciation goes to Rtr. Subhanujan for his outstanding wicket-keeping skills, including several impressive catches and quick stumpings that played a key role in the team’s success. The tournament concluded with APIIT emerging as the champions after a competitive final against RIC.

Beyond the competition, the PowerPlay Cup 2026 strengthened friendships and encouraged collaboration among Rotaractors from different universities, creating lasting memories both on and off the field.
