The pandemic sure did stop all of us from going out and meeting our friends. But Rotaractors stop at nothing, we always find a way. Socius’20 was indeed the perfect solution to reunite and strengthen the bonds between the club members. On the 29th of December 2020, we all got together to find the Club Impostor. Several teams of ten played ‘Among Us’, via google meet. All the new and old members made this a great opportunity to find new friends and make life long friendships through a simple game.

While everyone was spending days and weeks of gloominess because of the ongoing pandemic, this was the perfect getaway and the perfect way to socialize while following all the guidelines and health precautions. The evening was spent with great joy and of course a little bit of evil, killing our own fellow members and fixing a spaceship. We all learnt that the lack of physical meet ups cannot destroy the bond we have with each other. Because no matter what, Rotaract will always be one big family to all of us. Whether it has been years or a matter of  few days since you joined, everyone made it feel like home inside a virtual spaceship within a few minutes.

All of us made joyous memories during the two continuous hours of fun and betrayal, including the kicking out of the club impostors. This event was organized with the hope of improving unity within the members of the club, which was in fact accomplished at the end of the day.

වසංගතය අපව අපේ ප්‍රියයන්ගෙන්, මිතුරන්ගෙන් ඈත් කොට අපව නිවෙස් තුල සිරකර දැමීමට තරම් අකාරුණික විය. නමුත් කිසිවකින් නොසැලෙන රොටරැක්ට්වරුන් වන අපි සුපුරුදු පරිදි මෙයටද පිලියමක් සොයා ගතිමු. SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ, සාමාජිකයන් අතර ඇති බැඳීම නැවත අලුත් කිරීමට හා ශක්තිමත් කිරීමට හොඳම විසඳුම Socius’20 විය. 2020 දෙසැම්බර් 29 වන දින අපි සියලු දෙනාම එකට එකතු වී අප සමාජයේ වංචාකාරයා (Impostor) සොයා ගත්තෙමු. සාමාජිකයන් දස දෙනෙකුගෙන් යුත් කණ්ඩායම් කිහිපයක් Google Meet හරහා ‘Among Us’ ක්‍රීඩා කළහ. සියලුම නව සහ පැරණි සාමාජිකයින්ට, සරල ක්‍රීඩාවක් තුළින් නව මිතුරන් සොයා ගැනීමට සහ ජීවිත කාලය පුරාවට මිත්‍රත්වයන් ඇති කර ගැනීමට මෙය හොඳ අවස්ථාවක් විය.

පවතින වසංගතය හේතුවෙන් සෑම දෙනාම අඳුරු කාලයක් ගත කරන අතරතුර, සෞඛ්‍ය උපදේශන සහ නිරෝධන නීති පිලිපදිමින් සමාජාශ්‍රය ලබා ගැනීමට මෙය කදිම උපායක් විය. එදින සවස් කාලය ගත වූයේ මහත් ප්‍රීතියකින් මෙන්ම සැඟවුණු කුරිරු අභිලාශවලිනි. ශාරීරික හමුවීම් නොමැතිකමට අප එකිනෙකා සමඟ ඇති බැඳීම පරාජය කළ නොහැකි බව අපි කවුරුත් ඉගෙන ගතිමු. කුමක්වු නත්, රොටරැක්ට් සැම විටම අප සැමටම එක පවුලක හැඟීම ලබා දීමට සමත්ය. SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් පවුලට සම්බන්ධ වී වසර කිහිපයක් ගත වූ අයත්, දින කිහිපයක් ගත වූ අයත්, සෑම කෙනෙකුම, මිනිත්තු කිහිපයක් ඇතුළත මෙම ක්‍රීඩාව තුලදී එක් පවුලක් බවට පත් විය.

අප සමාජයේ වංචාකාරයින් (Impostors) පන්නා දැමීම සහ පාවාදීම ඇතුළුව, අඛණ්ඩව පැය දෙකක විනෝදය අප සියලු දෙනා තුල ප්‍රීතිමත් මතකයන් ඇති කල බව නිසැකය. මෙම ප්‍රයත්නය, අප සාමාජකයින් තුළ සමගිය වැඩි දියුණු කිරීමේ අපේක්ෂාවෙන් සිදු කල අතර එය ඇත්ත වශයෙන්ම අවසානයේදී සාර්ථක උත්සහයක් විය.

தொற்றுநோய் நிச்சயமாக நம் அனைவரையும் வெளியே சென்று எங்கள் நண்பர்களைச் சந்திப்பதைத் தடுத்தது. கிளப் உறுப்பினர்களிடையேயான பிணைப்புகளை மீண்டும் ஒன்றிணைக்கவும் பலப்படுத்தவும் Socius’20 உண்மையில் சரியான தீர்வாக இருந்தது. 2020 டிசம்பர் 29 ஆம் திகதி, கிளப் Imposter ரைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க நாங்கள் அனைவரும் ஒன்றிணைந்தோம். கூகிள் சந்திப்பு மூலம் இணைக்கப்பட்ட பத்து பேர் கொண்ட பல அணிகள் ‘Among Us’ விளையாடின. புதிய மற்றும் பழைய உறுப்பினர்கள் அனைவரும் புதிய நண்பர்களைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பதற்கும் ஒரு எளிய விளையாட்டின் மூலம் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் நட்பை உருவாக்குவதற்கும் இது ஒரு சிறந்த வாய்ப்பாக அமைந்தது.

மாலை மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கழிந்தது, நிச்சயமாக எங்கள் சொந்த உறுப்பினர்களைக் கொல்வதில் கொஞ்சம் வருத்தமாக இருந்தது. நேருக்கு நேர் சந்திப்புகளின் பற்றாக்குறை நாம் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் வைத்திருக்கும் பிணைப்பை வரையறுக்காது என்பதை நாங்கள் அனைவரும் அறிந்தோம். ஏனென்றால், எதுவாக இருந்தாலும், ரோட்டராக்ட் எப்போதும் நம் அனைவருக்கும் ஒரு பெரிய குடும்பமாக இருக்கும். நீங்கள் சேர்ந்ததிலிருந்து பல வருடங்கள் அல்லது சில நாட்களாக இருந்தாலும், எல்லோரும் ஒரு சில நிமிடங்களில் ஒரு மெய்நிகர் விண்கலத்திற்குள் வீடு போல உணரவைத்தனர்.
