When isolated, music is needed than usual. I hope everyone will agree with me. 2021 was not the usual dawn of a New Year. It was the beginning of the new normal. Though it is not quite like watching a live show in person, virtual concerts played a fascinating role in keeping the audience and artists alive even in the middle of the pandemic. So we, RACSLIIT wanted to ease the adjustment of everyone to the new normal by the beginning the New Year with a grand musical concert held virtual.

2020plus1 was the last project for the year 2020 done by the Rotaract Club of SLIIT under Club Service Avenue. This was a virtual “31st open mic night” with an exciting New Year countdown. It was a memorable New Year’s Eve along with music and exciting games for all participants. This remarkable Club Service initiative took place on the 31st of December 2020 from 10 pm onwards via Zoom.

The show commenced at 10 p.m with a beautiful song sung by our very own District Rotaract Representative Rtn. Rtr. PP. Kasun Sigera. The night could not have been amazing if not for our beloved two hosts. One being none other than our multi-talented President Rtr. Keheliya and our Sergeant at arms (Attack show host) Rtr. Nipun. Thanks to these beautiful souls the night was filled with lots of jokes and laughter. I can proudly say that our club is so fortunate to have the best co-hosts anyone could ask for.

Three Voice Teens contestants Amelia Wijesooriya, Madhuvy Vaithialingam, and Veenath Sathsara joined with us to entertain the night as guest singers. Amelia (Local Adele) sung two beautiful songs to color up the event. Also Malindu Kirindegama (MalinduK) another upcoming artist joined hands with us to glamorize our event. Presidents and secretaries from other Rotaract clubs, our Rotaractors, and other club members who already registered joined us at this big event.

At the middle of the event we carried out an entertainment game to interact with our participants. The game was to guess the celebrity whose shadow sketch was displayed. Many participants sent us the correct answer in no seconds showing their enthusiasm throughout the event. When it was a few minutes left for the New Year countdown, our guest singer Veenath Sathsara sung a “shanthikarma” as promised to ease undesired influences also for blessings and prosperity of our lives.

After the New Year count down everyone wished a very happy new year to each other. The performance of Madhuvy’s became the favorite among the crowd. The project was successfully concluded after nearly 2 and half hours. At last, I want to thank everyone who is on the organizing committee for helping out to organize this event successfully. This was an instant plan that turned into reality within a short period. Much grateful to the artists and whoever joined the events on that day. This could not have been successful without your immense support. A big thank goes to all those who contributed. Let’s meet in another musical extravaganza like this.

හුදෙකලා වූ විට, සංගීතය වෙනදාට වඩා අවශ්‍ය යැයි හැඟේ. හැමෝම මා සමඟ එකඟ වේ යැයි මම සිතමි. 2021 සුපුරුදු නව වසරක උදාව මෙන් නොවීය. එය නව සාමාන්‍යයේ ආරම්භයයි. එබැවින්, SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජයේ අපට, නව වසර නවමු මුහුණුවරකින් ආරම්භ කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය විය. මේ නිසා පුද්ගලිකව සජීවී ප්‍රසංගයක් නැරඹීමට සමාන නොවුනත්, වසංගතය මධ්‍යයේ වුවද ප්‍රේක්ෂකයින් සහ කලාකරුවන් ප්‍රබෝධමත් කරවීමේ අරමුණින් මාර්ගගත සංගීත වැඩසටහනක් සංවිධානය කිරීමට අප සමත් වීමු.

2020 plus 1 යනු සමාජ සේවා අංශය යටතේ SLIIT රොටරැක්ට් සමාජය විසින් 2020 වර්ෂය සඳහා කරන ලද අවසාන ව්‍යාපෘතියයි. මෙය අළුත් අවුරුදු උදාව වෙනුවෙන් සැකසුනු, ” විවෘත මයික් රාත්‍රියක්” විය. එය අමතක නොවන දිනයක් මෙන්ම සහභාගී වූ සියලු දෙනාටම සංගීතය සහ ආකර්ෂණීය ක්‍රීඩා සහිත විය. මෙම කැපී පෙනෙන සමාජ සේවා වැඩසටහන 2020 දෙසැම්බර් 31 වන දින රාත්‍රී 10 සිට Zoom හරහා සිදු විය.රාත්‍රී 10 ට අපේම දිස්ත්‍රික් රොටරැක්ට් නියෝජිත Rtr. කසුන් සිගේරා විසින් ගායනා කරන ලද සුන්දර ගීතයක් සමඟ ප්‍රසංගය ආරම්භ විය. අපේ ආදරණීය වැඩසටහන් මෙහෙයවන්නන් දෙදෙනා නොවන්නට රාත්‍රිය ආකර්ශණීය නොවන්නට ඉඩ තිබුනි . මෙම සුන්දර රාත්‍රිය විහිළු සහ සිනහවෙන් පිරී තිබුණි.

ආරාධිත ගායක ගායිකාවන් ලෙස රාත්‍රිය සඳහා නහඹර වියේ ගායකයන් තිදෙනෙකු වන අමිලියා විජේසූරිය, මධුවි වෛතිලිංගම් සහ වීනාත් සත්සර සහභාගී වූහ. ඇමීලියා උත්සවය වර්ණවත් කිරීම සඳහා ලස්සන ගීත දෙකක් ගායනා කලාය. එසේම අපගේ සිදුවීම උත්කර්ෂයට නැංවීම සඳහා තවත් ඉදිරියට එන කලාකරුවෙකු වන මලිදු කිරින්දගම අප හා එක් විය. මෙම විශාල උත්සවයට අප හා අනෙකුත් රොටරැක්ට් සමාජවල සභාපතිවරුන් සහ ලේකම්වරු මෙන්ම අපගේ රොටරැක්ට්වරුන්ද සහභාගී වූහ.උත්සවයේ මැද භාගයේදී අපි අපගේ සහභාගිවන්නන් සමඟ අන්තර් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් ලෙස විනෝදාස්වාද ක්‍රීඩා සිදු කළෙමු. අලුත් අවුරුදු උදාවට මිනිත්තු කිහිපයක් ඉතිරිව තිබියදී, අපගේ ආගන්තුක ගායක වීනාත් සත්සර “ශාන්තිකර්ම” ගායනා කළේ එමගින් අපේ ජීවිතයේ ආශීර්වාද හා සමෘද්ධිය සඳහා අනවශ්‍ය බලපෑම් ලිහිල් කරන බවට පොරොන්දු වෙමිනි.

අලුත් අවුරුදු උදාවෙන් පසු සෑම කෙනෙකුම එකිනෙකාට සුබ නව වසරක් ප්‍රාර්ථනා කළහ. මධුවීගේ රංගනය ප්‍රේක්ෂකයින් අතර ජනප්‍රියම අංගය විය. පැය දෙකහමාරකට ආසන්න කාලයක් ගත වූ පසු ව්‍යාපෘතිය සාර්ථකව අවසන් විය. අවසාන වශයෙන්, මෙම උත්සවය සාර්ථකව සංවිධානය කිරීමට උදව් කිරීම පිළිබඳව සංවිධායක කමිටුවේ සිටින සැමට ස්තූති කිරීමට මට අවශ්‍යය. මෙය කෙටි කාලයක් තුළ යථාර්ථයක් බවට පත් වූ ක්ෂණික සැලැස්මකි. කලාකරුවන්ට සහ එදින සම්බන්ධ වූ සෑම දෙනාට මෙය අමතක නොවන මතකයක් වූ බව නිසැකය.

இரவு 10 மணியளவில் எங்கள் சொந்த மாவட்ட ரோட்டராக்ட் பிரதிநிதி Rtn Rtr. பிபி. கசுன் சிகேரா பாடிய ஒரு அழகான பாடலுடன் நிகழ்ச்சி தொடங்கி வைக்கப்பட்டது. எங்கள் அன்பான இரண்டு தொகுப்பாளர்கள் இல்லையென்றால் இவ் நிகழ்ச்சி சிறப்பாக இருந்துருக்கும் என்பது சந்தேகமே. ஒருவர் வேறு யாருமல்ல, எங்கள் பல திறமை கொண்ட மன்றத் தலைவர் Rtr. கெஹெலியா மற்றும் எங்கள் சார்ஜென்ட் அட் ஆர்ம்ஸ் Rtr. நிபூன்.

சிறப்பு பாடகர்களாக நிகழ்வை மெருகூட்ட மூன்று Voice teens போட்டியாளர்களான அமெலியா விஜேசூரியா, மாதுவி வைத்தியலிங்கம் மற்றும் வீநாத் சத்சரா ஆகியோர் பங்கேற்றனர். இந்த நிகழ்வை வண்ணமயமாக்க அமெலியா (லோக்கல் அடீல்) இரண்டு அழகான பாடல்களைப் பாடினார். மேலும் மலிந்து கிரிண்டேகாமா (மலிந்து.கே) வரவிருக்கும் மற்றொரு கலைஞரும் எங்களுடன் கைகோர்த்து எங்கள் நிகழ்வை மெருகூட்டினார். ஏனைய ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப்புகளின் தலைவர்கள் மற்றும் செயலாளர்கள், எங்கள் ரோட்டராக்டர்கள் மற்றும் ஏற்கனவே பதிவுசெய்த பிற கிளப் உறுப்பினர்கள் இந்த பெரிய நிகழ்வில் எங்களுடன் சேர்ந்து கொண்டனர்.

நிகழ்வின் நடுவில் எங்கள் பங்கேற்பாளர்களுடன் தொடர்புகொள்வதற்காக ஒரு பொழுதுபோக்கு விளையாட்டை நாங்கள் மேற்கொண்டோம். நிழல் ஸ்கெட்ச் காட்டப்பட்ட பிரபலத்தை யூகிப்பதே விளையாட்டு. புத்தாண்டு கவுண்ட்டவுனுக்கு சில நிமிடங்கள் மீதமுள்ளபோது, எங்கள் சிறப்பு பாடகர் வீநாத் சத்சரா ஒரு “சாந்திகர்மா” பாடினார், எங்கள் வாழ்க்கையின் ஆசீர்வாதம் மற்றும் செழிப்புக்காக விரும்பத்தகாத தாக்கங்களை எளிதாக்குவதாக உறுதியளித்தார்.

புத்தாண்டு பிறந்தவுடன் எல்லோரும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் மிகவும் புத்தாண்டு வாழ்த்துக்களைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொண்டனர். கிட்டத்தட்ட 2 மற்றும் அரை மணி நேரம் கழித்து இந்த திட்டம் வெற்றிகரமாக முடிக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த நிகழ்வை வெற்றிகரமாக ஒழுங்கமைக்க உதவிய அமைப்புக் குழுவில் உள்ள அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி. இது ஒரு குறுகிய காலத்திற்குள் யதார்த்தமாக மாறிய உடனடி திட்டம். கலைஞர்களுக்கும், அன்றைய நிகழ்வுகளில் யார் இணைந்தாலும் அவர்களுக்கு மிக்க நன்றி. உங்கள் மகத்தான ஆதரவு இல்லாமல் இது வெற்றிகரமாக இருக்க முடியாது. உங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் ஒரு பெரிய நன்றி. இது போன்ற மற்றொரு இசை நிகழ்ச்சியில் சந்திப்போம்.
