Many of us have hidden talents that go unappreciated, skills that go unrecognized. One such skill is having an amazing eye for creating beautiful graphic art and comics. These skilled individuals are mostly remembered when there may be a post to be made, or an artwork to be done. It is very rare that we see these skills being appreciated.
Seeing the need to recognize and reward these skilled individuals, and at the same time create awareness on the Rotaract movement, Graphic-con was organized in line with the World Rotaract Week of the year 2021. World Rotaract Week for this year commenced on 8th March and went on till the 14th of March 2021.
Graphic-con consisted of 2 categories – Graphic Art and Comic Art. The competition was open to all Rotaractors and non-Rotaractors across the island. These talented individuals were allowed to submit a maximum of 3 of their original work, from any one of the 2 categories. The participants who submitted their creations under the Comic Art category were allowed to create their work under any topic they preferred, while the ones who submitted their work under the Graphic Art submission had to have a theme of one of the following Avenues of Rotaract: Community Service, International Service or Environmental Service.
The talents of the fellow participants were shared on the official Facebook page of the Rotaract Club of SLIIT and two winners were selected under each category: Graphic Design and Comic Art. Winners were selected based on the most number of likes on a certain post. Winners were selected and were awarded gifts from our official gift partner – Giftholic, an upcoming small business specializing in gift boxes run by our past Club Service Director for the year 2019/20, Rtr. Senuri Hettiarachchi.
Many enthusiastic and talented artists, Rotaractors from our club as well as other clubs and also non-Rotaractors sent in their submissions and we had many submissions under both the categories. The most exciting part of Graphic-con, the voting phase began on the 13th of March 2021 and closed at 4.00om on the 14th of March 2021. After a very intense competition between the competitors, the winners were selected. The winner for the Graphic Art category was Rtr. Imesh Jayathilake from the Rotaract Club of SLIIT and the winner for the Comic Art category was Akhila Chandimal.
We saw many talented young artists and it was our pleasure to share their work with the world. Congratulations to our winners and job well done to all our participants!
අප සැමටම සැඟවුණු කුසලතා ඇත. බොහෝවිට ඒවා කල එලි නොබැස, ඇගයුමට ලක් නොවී සැඟවීම තිබේ. අලංකාර ග්රැෆික් කලාවට සහ විකට චිත්ර නිර්මාණය කිරීම සඳහා කලාකාමී ඇසක් තිබීමද එලෙස අවධානයට ලක් නොවන කුසලතාවයකි. මෙම කුසලතාවය සහිත අය අපට බොහෝවිට සිහිපත් වන්නේ වැඩක් කරගැනීමට අවශ්යවූ කලටය. ඔවුන් අගය කරනු ලැබෙන්නේ ඉතා කලාතුරකිනි. මෙම දක්ෂ පුද්ගලයින් හඳුනාගෙන ඔවුන්ට අගය කිරීමක් ලබාදීමේ අවශ්යතාවය හා ඒ සමඟම රොටරැක්ට් ව්යාපාරය පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීමක් ඇති කිරීමේ පරමාර්ථයෙන්, Graphic – Con 2021 ලෝක රොටරැක්ට් සතියට සමගාමීව සංවිධානය කරන ලදී. මෙම වසර සඳහා ලෝක රොටරැක්ට් සතිය මාර්තු 8 වන දින සිට මාර්තු 14 වන දින දක්වා යෙදී තිබිණි.
Graphic – Con, ග්රැෆික් කලාව සහ විකට චිත්ර යන කාණ්ඩ 2 කින් සමන්විත විය. මෙම තරගය දිවයින පුරා සිටින සියලුම රොටරැක්ට්වරුන් සහ රොටරැක්ට්වරුන් නොවන අයට විවෘත විය. නීති රීති හා තවත් තත්වයන් යටතේ පැවැත්වුනු තරගයෙන් අවසානයේ ජයග්රාහකයින් දෙදෙනෙක් තෝරාගත් අතර, සෙසු සහභාගීවූවන්ගේ දක්ශතා අපගේ නිල ෆේස්බුක් පිටුව හරහා ලොවටම ප්රදර්ශනය කරන ලදි.
අපගේ නිල ත්යාග සහකරු ලෙස Giftholic සුලු ව්යාපාරය අත්වැල් බැදගත් අතර අපගේ සමාජයේ මෙන්ම අනෙක් සමාජවල සාමාජිකයන්ගේද උද්යෝගිමත් සහභාගීත්වය නිසාම Graphic – Con අතිශයෙන්ම සාර්ථක වූ බව කිවයුතුමය.
Graphic – Con හි වඩාත් සිත්ගන්නාසුලු කොටස වන ඡන්දය ප්රකාශ කිරීමේ අදියර 2021 මාර්තු 13 වන දින ආරම්භ වී 2021 මාර්තු 14 වන දින පාන්දර 4.00 ට අවසන් විය. තරඟකරුවන් අතර දැඩි තරඟයකින් පසුව ජයග්රාහකයින් තෝරා ගන්නා ලදී. ග්රැෆික් කලා කාණ්ඩයේ ජයග්රාහකයා වූයේ Rtr.ඉමේෂ් ජයතිලකය. චිත්ර කථා කාණ්ඩයේ ජය අකිල චන්දිමාල් හිමි කරගන්නා ලදි. බොහෝ දක්ෂ තරුණ කලාකරුවන් හදුනා ගෙන ඔවුන්ගේ හැකියාවන් ලොවට ප්රදර්ශනය කිරීමට අවස්ථාවක් ලබාදීමට අපට හැකිවීම ගැන අපි නිහතමානීව ආඩම්බර වෙමු.
நம்மில் பலருக்கு அடையாளம் காணப்படாத திறன்கள் உள்ளன. அத்தகைய ஒரு திறமை அழகான கிராஃபிக் கலை மற்றும் காமிக்ஸை உருவாக்குவதற்கான அற்புதமான கண்ணைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இந்த திறமையான நபர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் ஒரு கலைப்படைப்பு செய்யப்படும்போது நினைவில் வைக்கப்படுவார்கள். இந்த திறன்கள் பாராட்டப்படுவதை நாம் காண்பது மிகவும் அரிது.
இந்த திறமையான நபர்களை அங்கீகரித்து வெகுமதி அளிக்க வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தையும், அதே நேரத்தில் ரோட்டராக்ட் இயக்கம் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதையும் பார்த்து, Graphic-Con 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டின் உலக ரோட்டராக்ட் வாரத்திற்கு ஏற்ப ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது. இந்த ஆண்டிற்கான உலக ரோட்டராக்ட் வாரம் மார்ச் 8 ஆம் திகதி தொடங்கியது மற்றும் 2021 மார்ச் 14 வரை சென்றது.
கிராஃபிக்-கான் 2 வகைகளைக் கொண்டது – கிராஃபிக் ஆர்ட் மற்றும் காமிக் ஆர்ட். நாடு முழுவதும் உள்ள அனைத்து ரோட்டராக்டர்கள் மற்றும் ரோட்டராக்டர்கள் அல்லாதவர்களுக்கு இந்த போட்டி திறந்திருந்தது. இந்த திறமையான நபர்கள் 2 வகைகளில் ஏதேனும் ஒன்றிலிருந்து அதிகபட்சம் 3 அசல் படைப்புகளை சமர்ப்பிக்க அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டனர். காமிக் ஆர்ட் பிரிவின் கீழ் தங்கள் படைப்புகளை சமர்ப்பித்த பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் தாங்கள் விரும்பும் எந்தவொரு தலைப்பின் கீழும் தங்கள் படைப்புகளை உருவாக்க அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டனர், அதே நேரத்தில் கிராஃபிக் ஆர்ட் சமர்ப்பிப்பின் கீழ் தங்கள் படைப்புகளை சமர்ப்பித்தவர்கள் பின்வரும் ரோட்டராக்டின் வழிகளில் ஒன்றின் கருப்பொருளைக் கொண்டிருக்க வேண்டும்: சமூகம் சேவை, சர்வதேச சேவை அல்லது சுற்றுச்சூழல் சேவை.
சக பங்கேற்பாளர்களின் திறமைகள் ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப்பின் SLIIT இன் அதிகாரப்பூர்வ பேஸ்புக் பக்கத்தில் பகிரப்பட்டன, மேலும் ஒவ்வொரு பிரிவின் கீழும் இரண்டு வெற்றியாளர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டனர்: கிராஃபிக் டிசைன் மற்றும் காமிக் ஆர்ட். அதிக எண்ணிக்கையிலான ஓட்டுக்களின் அடிப்படையில் வெற்றியாளர்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டனர். வெற்றியாளர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டனர் மற்றும் எங்கள் உத்தியோகபூர்வ பரிசு கூட்டாளரான கிஃப்டோலிக் பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
போட்டியாளர்களிடையே மிகவும் கடுமையான போட்டியின் பின்னர், வெற்றியாளர்கள் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டனர். கிராஃபிக் ஆர்ட் பிரிவில் வென்றவர் SLIIT யின் ரோட்டராக்ட் கிளப்பைச் சேர்ந்த Rtr. இமேஷ் ஜெயதிலகே மற்றும் காமிக் ஆர்ட் பிரிவில் வென்றவர் அகிலா சண்டிமல்.
பல திறமையான இளம் கலைஞர்களை நாங்கள் பார்த்தோம், அவர்களின் படைப்புகளை உலகத்துடன் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டதில் எமக்கு பேர் ஆனந்தம். எங்கள் வெற்றியாளர்களுக்கு மற்றும் பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் வாழ்த்துக்கள்!
