Being confined to their homes, the youth of Sri Lanka are in boredom and it was quite evident that they needed a new thrill in their lives. The initiative 50 Shades the biggest Virtual Scavenger Hunt was back for the 2nd year in a row to liven the lives of both Rotaractors and Non-Rotaractors.
Head Pirates were waiting at the Pirate Island with the treasure worth Rs. 12000 for the arrival of fellow pirates. Sailing to the destination was not that easy. The head pirates asked the fellow pirates to form a team of 3. Where the hunt began with 60+ teams with over 180 Pirates. The Head Pirates gave 50 riddles and several other challenges including bonuses and jackpots. Pirates had to decode the clues to find the answers and had to perform the challenges to sail the ship successfully to the Pirate Island.
They had to visit 05 Harbors, known as Levels, the places where they get to know their clues and challenges. Meanwhile, Head Pirates at their cockpit assigned the clues and challenges for the Pirates.
In Level 01, the pirates had to solve 10 riddles which were there in all 05 Levels. Alongside that, they had a major challenge in testing their sense of humor, where they were asked to create a meme about Fried Chicken by Crizzpy’s Chicken, our sponsor for the hunt.

Pirate Chirag Amit from Team Midtown Outcasts won the meme challenge. Thank you to our Judges DRRE Rtn. Rtr. PP Akhila Adishwara and DRRN Rtr. PP Ahamed Hussain for taking their time in judging the memes.
After the completion of level 01, Pirates sailed to the next harbor for the next set of riddles and challenges. This one was made a bit hard with some new set of Tips and clues. They had to solve the riddle, go to the blog and from there they were taken to our Facebook page to collect some puzzle pieces. And our pirates were successful in assembling the puzzle pieces.
Gift partner for level 02 was Red Bull Sri Lanka. Where the top 3 high-scoring teams in the Red Bull games were awarded Red Bull canes.
Also, in Level 02 there was another challenge called “Innovative Doodler”, a challenge to test the creativity of our Pirates. The winners were awarded by our Challenge partner, The Craft Tree Sri Lanka. Pirate Amesha from Team Abusadha and Pirate Anudi from Team Biscuits won the challenge.

In Level 03, in addition to the regular riddles, they had a crossword twist along with one exciting challenge to complete. Our Pirates being so responsible pirates, were asked to spread the awareness about COVID19 as a virtual message. Which was later published on Facebook for public voting. The winner was Team Biscuits.

In level 04, the challenge called ‘ECOPIRATE’ was for the Pirates to show their crafting skills by creating bouquets with recyclable or waste items. Winner was Team Infinity who was awarded by our Challenge partner The Confectionery Sri Lanka.
Furthermore, level 04 had another challenge called ‘For the Love of Shoes’, where the pirates were asked to find a signal at the harbor to perform and create a Dubsmash to show their love towards shoes. Team Infinity won this too, they got gifts from Crizzpy’s Chicken.
Finally, the final round Level 05 showed up. Few pirate teams with full courage and determination successfully sailed to the harbor. There awaited some challenges. Challenge Green Pirate was won by Team Hora 50 Shades. ‘Sign Language Challenge Master’ was won by Pirate Hiruni from Team Gold Hoarders and was awarded by our challenge partner The Confectionery Sri Lanka. The final challenge ‘The Entertainer’ was won by Team Biscuits.
Successfully sailed pirates were waiting for the closing ceremony at the Pirate Island where the treasure worth Rs. 12000 was waiting for one of them. The closing ceremony was full of fun-filled moments. Fellow pirates were able to see all the best work in challenges. We had our guest speakers, DRR Rtn. Rtr. PP Kasun Sigera, DRRN Rtr. PP Ahamed Hussain and IPDRR Rtn. Rtr. PP Krishan Balaji joined to share their thoughts about 50 Shades. Our beloved DRR shared some wise thoughts for the young Rotaractors. Moving on, we had an entertaining virtual performance by Team Hora 50 Shades. Then came the final moments to reveal the Pirates who won the Treasure. It was Team HORA 50 SHADES who won 50 Shades 2021, where Team Biscuits and Team Sparrows secured 2nd & 3rd places.
It was a fun-filled treasure hunt that took nearly 3 weeks for the Pirates to successfully explore the Pirate Island to hunt down the Treasure. Project 50 Shades is all about the fun-filled fellowship for all the pirates(participants) to cherish the moment forever.

පයිරේට් දූපතේ සමාප්ති උත්සවය සඳහා සාර්ථක ලෙස යාත්‍රා කළ මුහුදු කොල්ලකරුවන් උද්‍යෝගීව බලා සිටි අතර දූපතේ රු. 12000 ක් ඔවුන්ගෙන් එක් අයෙකු එනතෙක් බලා සිටියේය. සමාප්ති උත්සවය විනෝදජනක අවස්ථාවන්ගෙන් පිරී තිබුණි. සෙසු මුහුදු කොල්ලකරුවන්ට අභියෝගයන්හි ජයග්‍රාහකයන් දැක ගැනීමට හැකි විය. අපගේ ආගන්තුක කථිකයන් වූ DRR. නිධානය දිනාගත් මුහුදු කොල්ලකරුවන් හෙළි කිරීමට අවසාන මොහොත පැමිණියේය. 2021 50 Shades හි විජයග්‍රාහකයන් වූයේ Hora 50 Shades කණ්ඩායම වන අතර එහිදී Biscuit කණ්ඩායම සහ Sparrow කණ්ඩායම දෙවන හා තෙවන ස්ථාන ගත්හ. විනෝදයෙන්, කුතුහලයෙන් හා දැනුමෙන් සන්නද්ධ දූපත සාර්ථකව ගවේෂණය කිරීමට කොල්ලකරුවන්ට සති 3 කට ආසන්න කාලයක් ගත විය. 50 Shades යනු සියලු මුහුදු කොල්ලකරුවන්ට (සහභාගිවන්නන්ට) සදහටම ආදරයෙන් රැකබලා ගැනීමට මතක රැස් කර දුන් අවස්ථාවක් බව නොරහසකි.
