The purpose of joining Rotaract differs from person to person. Many of us joined because of a friend, not knowing what Rotaract is about. Personally, I joined to have that vibe with friends, but soon after joining realized that there is a lot happening and there are many opportunities to learn and grow. And this is the best platform for an undergraduate to show their colors and most importantly grow their networks which will be a helping hand in their career.

The friendly chat “Bring Back Memories” was organized as a part of the Rotaract Week celebration. Accepting the kind invitation of us joined Rotarian. IPDRR. Krishan Balaji, our very own IPP, Rtr. Duleesha Waidyarathne, our guide club coordinator Rtr. Methmi Pinnagoda, International Rotaractors from Turkey and our very own twin club India. During the discussion, IPDRR shared his story, that he initially joined the Rotaract movement because of a friend but later realizing the objective of the youth driven movement and his pathway becoming the representative of all the Rotaractors. The lesson and the experiences gained are immeasurable. Specially learning the art of managing people while being an undergrad has helped him a lot for a successful career too.

The stories from other delegates who shared the story explained how they have evolved during period as a Rotaractor. Everyone had their toughest days and gone through a lot, which really conditioned them to shine bright as diamonds. Rtr. Duleesha shared her story of how she came to know an orphanage where kids below 13 years reside and how she badly wanted volunteer there teaching them English and math during the weekend. It was an extra effort put beside her academics and organizing the session with the participation of very enthusiastic volunteers from RACSLIIT. And the only payback is the smiles in their faces. Also a similar story was shared by Rtr. Alev Nisa who joined “Bring Back Memories” from Turkey.

I believe the session inspired the young and new Rotaractors to enjoy their journey as a Rotaractor making memories and serving the community at their level best. Selfless people put every effort for the betterment of mankind. Let’s all be selfless making this world a better place every day, where we really could bring them back to our memory one day.

රොටරැක්ට් වලට සම්බන්ධ වීමේ අරමුණ පුද්ගලයාගෙන් පුද්ගලයාට වෙනස් වේ. රොටරැක්ට් යනු කුමක්දැයි නොදැන, අපගෙන් බොහෝ දෙනෙක් මෙම ව්‍යාපාරයට සම්බන්ද වූයේ මිතුරෙකු නිසාය. පුද්ගලිකව, මම මිතුරන් සමඟ කල් ගත කිරීමේ පරමාර්ථයෙන් එක්වූ නමුත් , එක් වූ විගසම රොටරැක්ට් නිතර යාවත්කාලීන වන, ඉගෙනීමට හා වර්ධනය වීමට බොහෝ අවස්ථාවන් ඇති තැනක් බව වටහා ගත්තෙමි. උපාධි අපේක්ෂකයෙකුට ඔහුගේ වර්ණ පෙන්වීමට සහ ඔවුන්ගේ ජාලයන් වර්ධනය කර ගැනීමට මෙය හොඳම වේදිකාව වන අතර එය ඔවුන්ගේ වෘත්තියට උපකාරී වනු ඇත.

රොටරැක්ට් සතියේ සැමරුමේ කොටසක් ලෙස “Bring back memories” යන සුහද කතාබහ සංවිධානය කරන ලදී. අපගේ කාරුණික ආරාධනය පිළිගෙන Rtn. IPDRR. ක්‍රිෂාන් බාලාජි, අපේම IPP. දුලීෂා වෛද්‍යරත්න, අපගේ මාර්ගෝපදේශක සමාජ සම්බන්ධීකාරක මෙත්මි පින්නගොඩ, තුර්කියේ ජාත්‍යන්තර රොටරැක්ටර්වරු සහ අපේ ඉන්දියාවේ නිවුන් සමාජය අප හා එක්විය . සාකච්ඡාවේදී තම කතාව බෙදාගත් IPDRR , ඔහු මුලින් රොටරැක්ට් ව්‍යාපාරයට සම්බන්ධ වූයේ මිතුරෙකු නිසා බවත්, නමුත් පසුව තරුණ පරපුරේ ව්‍යාපාරයේ පරමාර්ථය අවබෝධ කර ගත් බවත්, ඔහුගේ ගමන් මාර්ගය අවසානයේ සියලු රොටරැක්ටර්වරුන්ගේ නියෝජිතයා බවට පත්වූ බවත් පැවසුවේය. විශේෂයෙන්ම, උපාධි අපේක්ෂකයෙකු ලෙස සිටියදී මිනිසුන් කළමනාකරණය කිරීමේ කලාව ඉගෙනීම ඔහුට සාර්ථක වෘත්තියක් සඳහා ද බෙහෙවින් ඉවහල් වී තිබේ.

අත්දැකීම් බෙදාගත් අනෙකුත් නියෝජිතයින්ගේ කථාන්තර, රොටරැක්ට් ව්‍යාපාරය තුල ​ ඔවුන් පරිණාමය වී ඇති ආකාරය පැහැදිලි කළේය. සෑම කෙනෙකුටම ඔවුන්ගේ දුෂ්කරම දවස් තිබූ අතර බොහෝ කම්කටොලු පරාජය කොට දියමන්ති මෙන් දීප්තිමත් ලෙස බැබළෙන්නට ඔවුන්ට හැකි විය. අවුරුදු 13 ට අඩු ළමයින් වාසය කරන අනාථ නිවාසයක් ගැන දැනගත් ආකාරය සහ සති අන්තයේ ඔවුන්ට ඉංග්‍රීසි හා ගණිතය ඉගැන්වීමට ස්වේච්ඡාවෙන් ඉදිරිපත් වීමට අවශ්‍ය වූ ආකාරය පිළිබඳව දුලීෂා සිය කතාව බෙදා ගත්තාය. ඒ හා සමාන කතාවක් තුර්කියේ සිට “Bring back memories” සමඟ සම්බන්ධ වූ ඇලෙව් නීසා අප සමග බෙදා ගත්තේය.

රොටරැක්ටර්වරයකු ලෙස ඔවුන්ගේ ගමන සතුටින් ගත කරන අයුරු ඉගෙන ගැනීමට තරුණ හා නව රොටරැක්ටර්වරුන්ට මෙම සැසිවාරය හේතු වූ බව මම විශ්වාස කරමි. පරාර්ථකාමී මිනිසුන් මානව වර්ගයාගේ අභිවෘද්ධිය සඳහා සෑම උත්සාහයක්ම දරයි. අපි හැමෝම පරාර්ථකාමීව මේ ලෝකය සෑම දිනකම වඩා හොඳ තැනක් බවට පත් කරමු, යම් දිනෙක ඒ අත්දැකීම් අපගේ මතකයට ගෙන ඒමට හැකිය.

ரோட்டராக்டில் சேருவதன் நோக்கம் நபருக்கு நபர் வேறுபடுகிறது. ரோட்டராக்ட் என்னவென்று தெரியாமல் ஒரு நண்பர் காரணமாக எங்களில் பலர் சேர்ந்தோம். தனிப்பட்ட முறையில், நண்பர்களுடன் அந்த அதிர்வைக் கொண்டிருக்க நான் சேர்ந்தேன், ஆனால் சேர்ந்தவுடன் நிறைய நடக்கிறது என்பதை உணர்ந்தேன், மேலும் கற்றுக்கொள்ளவும் வளரவும் பல வாய்ப்புகள் உள்ளன. இளங்கலை பட்டதாரிக்கு அவர்களின் வண்ணங்களைக் காண்பிப்பதற்கும், மிக முக்கியமாக அவர்களின் நெட்வொர்க்குகளை வளர்ப்பதற்கும் இது ஒரு சிறந்த தளமாகும், இது அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையில் ஒரு உதவியாக இருக்கும்.

PP கிருஷன் பாலாஜி, எங்கள் சொந்த IPP Rtr. டுலீஷா வைத்தியாரத்ன, எங்கள் வழிகாட்டி கிளப் ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் Rtr. மெத்மி பின்னகோடா மற்றும் துருக்கியைச் சேர்ந்த ரோட்டராக்டர்கள் மற்றும் எங்கள் சொந்த இரட்டை கிளப் இந்தியா ஆகியோரும் இணைந்தனர்.

ரோட்டராக்டர் காலகட்டத்தில் அவர்கள் எவ்வாறு உருவாகியுள்ளனர் என்பதைப் பகிர்ந்த பிரதிநிதிகள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் தங்கள் கடினமான நாட்களைக் கொண்டிருந்தனர் மற்றும் நிறைய கடந்து சென்றனர், இது வைரமாக பிரகாசமாக பிரகாசிக்க அவர்களுக்கு நிபந்தனை விதித்தது. இந்த பாடத்தை அவர்கள் எம்முடன் பகிர்ந்ததில் எமக்கு பேர் ஆனந்தம்.

இந்த அமர்வு இளம் மற்றும் புதிய ரோட்டராக்டர்களை ஒரு ரோட்டராக்டராக தங்கள் பயணத்தை ரசிக்க தூண்டியது என்று நம்புகிறேன். தன்னலமற்ற மக்கள் மனிதகுலத்தின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்காக எல்லா முயற்சிகளையும் செய்கிறார்கள். எல்லோரும் தன்னலமற்றவர்களாக இருக்கட்டும், இந்த உலகத்தை ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் ஒரு சிறந்த இடமாக மாற்றுவோம், அங்கு ஒரு நாள் அவற்றை மீண்டும் நம் நினைவுக்கு கொண்டு வர முடியும்.
